Raman Bhalla is sending confusing signals to Ishita . He is older to her, been married, fathered two children ,divorced, made his mark in a highly competitive business world, suffered alienation from his underage son, endured his wife's infidelity and faced the humiliation and despair of her being whisked away by another man from under his nose. Ishita is like an oasis in the parched, arid landscape of his life and Ruhi is like the stream called jham- jham. One day he says sorry to Ishita in front of an audience ,asks her to be with him always and does a passionate dance number which shows the intensity of his emotions, next he tells Shagun that he shares trust, love and friendship with Ishita and a meaningful relationship's criteria is not necessarily physical relations. The next day he tells Tandon what it is to suffer a loveless marriage when Mihir says he cannot marry Trisha .Ishita is moved with compassion when she hears this but confused in the wake of his previous utterances and actions. Is he doing this to make Mihir's grounds for refusing Trisha stronger? Or is it because he feels Ishita at no stage has ever shown any need for him except when he went to say sorry after she had been thrown out of his house by his mother and she asked him to take her home. In his mind he may have thought it was for Ruhi's sake she was really returning home. He has his own methods of testing a person's genuiness which he demonstrates in making Mihir admit his true feelings. I think he knows Ishita cares for him but he will contrive to make her admit it to herself and to him that she really cares .
And he will employ his special brand of Operendus Modi to assure that she is sure about her own feelings.
