It was around 1 in the afternoon and Ishita was in the kitchen trying to cook food for dinner as they invited Raman and Simi's Bua. Ishita wanted to impress bua for Simi's happiness and Simi tricked Ishita and told her that Bua loves chicken. Ishita couldn't back out. She was not feeling well as she was feeling very weak but she had to do this as Bhalla's daughter in law. They also gave her a list of curries to make and told her to make Pakora. Simi wanted Ishita to do all the work so took her mom and went to the mall and they were not planning on coming back until it is time for dinner. She knew Ishita wasn't feeling good so she wanted to embarrass her.
Ishita got the chicken and she put in the counter and is not able to get herself to touch it. She is just starting at the plate trying to figure out a way. Raman walks into the house and see Ishita's confused look.
He walks towards the kitchen.
Raman: Oye Jhansi ki Rani? Why are you staring at chicken? Do you feel like eating? Your mom is going to have heart attack!
Ishita gives a helpless look to Raman.
Ishita: Ayo Raman, I didn't know you were coming home for lunch. I didn't make anything.
Raman: I feel tired so I wanted to come home for the day. Anyways, what is all this?
Ishita explains to Raman about inviting his aunt for dinner and she wants to make it a success so that Simi will be happy. He asked her where did Simi and mom go and she told him they went to mall. Raman gets mad saying how can they go to mall when they invite someone over and they need to help you cook. Ishita asks him to let it go and not make a big deal out of it. He goes into his room. He comes out after changing and sees Ishita wearing gloves and making a wincing face as she grabs the chicken plate.
Raman smiles at how adorable Ishita looks right now. He mutters to himself that Kaash Ishita could be like this all the time instead of going on lecture mode. He walks over to the kitchen.
Ishita: Raman, what are you doing here?
Raman: I will help you. You never touched chicken in your life and I don't want you to do something to you are not comfortable with or against your beliefs. He grabs the chicken plate and starts cutting chicken into pieces. Ishita continues to stare at Raman and is glad that Raman is helping her as she could not even get herself to touch the plate let alone cook it. She was lost in her thought and kept staring at Raman. Raman catches her eye stare and raises his eyes as if to ask her why is she staring at him. Ishita shakes her head and smiles.
Raman: Here, the chicken is cut. What were you planning on making with it?
Ishita gives him the recipe for butter chicken that she had printed out.
Raman: Pagal! Couldn't you have picked an easier dish? Butter chicken is hard to make. Let's search for a simpler chicken curry recipe.
Ishita makes a pouty face and Raman asks her what's wrong. She tells him she promised Ruhi she will make butter chicken and she will be disappointed.
Raman: Hey Baghwan! She doesn't know how to make it and she goes around making promises. Fine, give me the recipe, we will make butter chicken.
Raman stood before the stove handling the cooking part and he continued to give directions to Ishita to get the stuff he needs and to blend the masala. Ishita became Raman's little helper and Raman looked like a pro cooking the chicken. The husband and wife together managed to cook their first chicken curry. Raman tastes the curry with a spoon and is very content with how it came out.
Raman : (with a smirk) I am the best! This is the first time I ever cooked chicken and this is better than even the 5 star restaurants.
Ishita: Wah! You are so modest.
Raman: You are just jealous!
Ishita: Jealous? You may make chicken but you can never make better vegetarian food than me.
Raman: I will learn that too one day!
Ishita starts feeling queasy and runs to the restroom. Raman runs behind her worried and sees her throwing up. Raman stands behind her and holds her as she was about to fall down. He helps her wash her face and takes her to their bedroom and helps her lay down and makes her drink water. She tells him she hasn't been feeling well all day but she was fighting through so that she can prepare for the dinner.
Raman: I know you want to do everything on your own but you don't have to be a Jhansi Ki rani all the time. Bewakoof aurat. You could have told them you are not feeling well. Lay down and take a nap. We will figure out the rest later.
Ishita: But Raman, there is so much to do. Mummyji and Simi will be mad
Raman: Shut up. Stop arguing with me about everything. Close your eyes and sleep. I will wake you up in an hour. I will be right here finishing up a report.
He pulls the blanket over her. Ishita is happy to see Raman's concern for her. He sits next to her on bed and finishes up a report. Ishita dozes off to sleep in 2 seconds.
Raman : Paagal aurat. She is so tired and yet wants to save the world.
Raman finishes up his report and an hour has past. He turns towards Ishita to wake her up but couldn't get himself to do that. She looked like an angel- so peaceful and content when sleeping and he didn't want to disturb her. He decides to finish up the cooking and let her get some rest. He slowly gets off the bed so that he doesn't disturb her and heads to the kitchen.
He makes egg curry as that was one of the few things he knew how to make. He googles the recipe for Pakora and starts cutting onions. Onions make him to start crying and he continues to cut them while wiping his tears. Ruhi walks in the door and sees her dad wiping tears. The little angel gets so concerned about her dad and runs to him and gives him a hug.
Ruhi: Papa why are you crying? What happened?
Raman: Raman laughs at this daughter's cuteness. Arey Ruhi, I am not crying. I am cutting onions and they make you tear up. How was school?
Ruhi: It was good papa. What are you doing in the kitchen? Where is Ishi Ma?
Raman: Ishi ma is taking rest. Don't disturb her for a while, ok? I am cooking because someone is coming to house for dinner and Ishi ma is tired so I am helping her. Go and change and come back so you can eat.
Ruhi heads to her room to change and Raman finishes cutting up onions and finishes Pakora.
Romi walks in and asks his bro what he is doing.
Raman: I am drinking and chilling. Can't you see?
Romi: What happened to Bhabhi, Maa and Simi?
Raman: Ishita is not feeling good and Maa and Simi went to the mall. Come here and help me take all these things to the table. Ruhi walks in and tells her dad she is hungry.
Raman warms up milk for her and gives her milk and cookies. Romi too comes after changing and sits down at the table. Raman gets plates to set up the table and sits down.Raman asks Romi to taste the food. Romi tells his bhai that everything came out good.
Raman: thank god! arey Romi, I don't know how women do this every day. I cooked for few hours and I am dead tired.
Romi: Bhai you love bhabhi so much. She is not feeling good and you did all this to help.
Raman glares at Romi and tells him to shut up and eat.
Ishita wakes up and looks at the clock and it was 6 PM. She wakes up in panic and jumps off the bed and heads to the living room.She sees Raman sitting in the dining table with Ruhi and Romi.
Ishita: Raman, It's already 6. Bua ji is going to come in 30 minutes. You were supposed to wake me up in hour. What are we going to do now?
Raman stares at Ishita and with his eyes points her to the table . Romi and Ruhi take the lids off the dishes and Ishita sees all the food and appetizers ready on the table.
Ishita: Raman!! Did you order all these from the restaurant? What will bua ji think?
Romi: Arey Bhabhi! Bhaiya made all these. They came out awesome!!
Ishita was shocked and couldn't believe it.
Raman takes a pakora and feeds Ishu and asks her for the result. She tells him it is very good.
Ishita holds Raman hands and thanks him. Romi asked Ishita if she was feeling better and Ishu said she was.
Raman tells everyone to not disclose to maa or Simi or bua ji that he cooked as they will start taunting Ishita.
Simi and Toshiji walked in with shopping bags. Simi couldn't wait to see the torture Ishita went through to cook the chicken and manage everything on her own. Raman immediately went into his room as he was annoyed with them and didn't want to say anything out of anger.
Ishita heads into their room saying that she will change. Raman changed his clothes and Ishita asked him where he was going. He told her needs to run quick errand and asked her if she wanted something. She said no and asked him to come back early as she wanted him home when bua ji comes so that she doesn't feel awkward. He agreed and left. Ishita got ready and bua ji came in
Ishita played the perfect hostess and as usual Simi and Toshiji made her do all the work. Romi helped her out as he realized bhabhi was not feeling well. Raman came home and saw Ishita in the kitchen. He brought vegetarian pizza and pasta for Ishita as everything for dinner was non-vegetarian. He also got black currant ice cream and chocolate and tells her he got this for her. He heads into the living room and chitchats with bua ji and they all have dinner together.
Everyone was shocked to see how good butter chicken tasted and bua ji was very impressed with Ishita. Ishita looks at Raman and mouths thank you. Raman smiles. Simi was very jealous and mad that Ishita was able to manage everything and her plan to embarrass Ishu didn't work. Bua ji left after a while and Raman told Ishita to go to room and get some sleep. She told him that she needs to clean up. He told her to shut up and listen to him and do as he says. Romi asked Raman to get some rest as well as he worked whole day and he will clean up. Raman was very proud to see how much his little bro has grown up and thanked him and told him that there is ice-cream in the fridge if he wants some. He also takes two bowls and fills it with ice-cream and takes it to his room.
Ishita and Ruhi were already cuddled in bed. Ruhi tells Ishita how much papa loves her as he did all that today. Ishita smiles and Raman walks in. Raman heard what Ruhi said but acts like he didn't listen. Raman tells them both they forgot their ice-cream. They both get up and start enjoying the ice-cream. Ruhi realizes raman doesn't have a bowl and feeds him with her spoon. Raman tells her to eat as he is not a fan of sweets
Ruhi: Papa, you are weird. Who doesn't like icecream?
Ishita and Raman both laugh and Raman starts to tickle Ruhi. Ruhi finishes her icecream and Raman tells her to go brush her teeth. Ishita gives him his bowl and asks him if he wants some and he says no, I don't like icecream. Ishita tells him that she agrees with Ruhi in that he is very weird. Raman opens his mouth to say something and Ruhi comes back in and he shuts his mouth.
Raman tucks her in. She turns to Ishita and asks her to tell a story. Ruhi takes both of their hands and intertwines them. Ishita starts telling her a story and both Ruhi and Raman attentively listens to her. Ruhi dozes off to sleep. Raman lays on the bed with eyes closed.
Ishita: Raman
Raman: hmm?
Ishita: I was seeing if you slept already
He opens his eyes and tells her that he can't fall asleep.
Ishita: Thank you for everything you did today. I wouldn't have been able to manage it today with how I felt today and everyone would have been mad. You saved me. Thank you.
Raman: you are welcome. I seriously have more respect for you and women after today. I don't know how you do this everyday on top of working full time. I did it for few hours and I feel drained. You don't have to take on the whole world alone. It's ok to ask for help or say no when people ask too much of you. Stop trying to handle it everything on your own.
Ishita smiles at Raman and told him that she will try.
Raman: and one more thing. I need you to promise me something. Please don't fight with me on this as I don't have any energy right now.
Ishita was scared to find out what he is talking about.
Raman: Ruhi told me you ran into Parmeet. You should have told me about it. I told you last time that you should have shared it with me as I would have done something about it. You again hid it from me that he ran into you. I want you to promise me that from now on you will always tell me if you run into parmeet or any time you are in danger. He is a dangerous man Ishita and I know you are a brave girl but there are too many things involved here and I cannot imagine my world if anything were to happen to you.
Ishita: I am sorry Raman. I was shocked when I saw him and then I saw Trisha on the same day and we were so busy with the engagements.
Raman: That's not a valid excuse Ishita.
Ishita: I know, I am sorry. I will share things with you from now on.
Raman: Good! You better not break the promise.
Ishita: I wont.
Ishita smiles to herself thinking her kacha aam is slowly changing and for the better. He is a transformed Ravan kumar.
Raman: What are you smiling about?
Ishita forgot Raman was turned toward her and she was caught red handed
Ishita: Nothing. When I first met you I thought you were an arrogant jerk and you are not as bad as I thought you were.
Raman: Well I felt the same way about you when I met you.
Ishita: and now?
Raman: Well, I don't go around buying jewelry or cooking for arrogant jerks, so..
Ishita mutters to herself that Raavan kumar can't give straight answer to anything.
Raman: oye, stop cursing me under your breath
Ishita: I am not. How do you know?
Raman: I know everything about you. I know when you are mad, when you are angry what you are thinking.
Ishita: acha? You should become a mindreader as full time them
Ruhi gets disturbed and in her sleep tells Raman to stop fighting and go to sleep.
Raman: ye lo, meri mummy ki orders aagayi. Go to bed.
Ishita laughs
Ishita: Good night!
Raman: Good night!
Both of them doze off to sleep with a smile on their face.
