You know lots of people are bummed out about Simi interrupting the moment last night - but I noticed one thing, even when she comes in while Raman stops with the massage his hands are still on Ishu...the old Raman would have jumped back like a kid caught with his hand in a candy jar here he was not even conscious of the fact, in fact Ishu has to touch his hand and it strikes him Simi feels she interrupted them, that it made HER awkward to walk in on them... that is such a small moment but to me it spoke volumes about the level of acceptance Raman has about this marriage - to him it was nothing weird to be seen massaging his wife, one he claims to not love nor be in any conjugal relationship with. The physical intimacy is there in this moment but more than that it was about the intimacy that exists between couples on a subconscious level you know, like a man doesn't consider it odd to be seen with his wife/fiance/girlfriend with his arm around her waist or shoulders... its the most natural thing in the world to do.

.Raman in all these years had somehow managed to gather the pieces of his broken heart and put them back together. BUT the true struggle was not in putting back those pieces...it was making his heart beat again... BUT if it wasn't for his past, Ishita would have never made it to his present. Ishita's entry into his life, came in faster than the speed of lighting. Ishita came in, to make his heart beat/breathe again. She gave him an assurance that he did not have to fight and deal with the wound caused by all the struggling alone.
