This is merely a conjecture.
In the party, Mrs. Iyer is expecting Ishu to wear a Kanjivaram sari with "pure gold jewellery" but Ishita instead will wear the suit given by her MIL. Toshiji will get a chance to taunt Mrs Iyer who will feel sad that her daughter has become a poori Punjabi and has forgotten her. Raman, to make her happy will speak in Tamil so that Mrs. Iyer gets happy. Since Ishita is doing things to make his family happy, he will now do things to make her and her family happy. So everyone will be happy happy And then Toshiji and Madhaviji can call it even.
