I am loving this gradual change in RKB ... he has began the journey of change with the help of his wife...
the way he caught his tongue and changed his sentence sensing how he may be hurting Ishita with his words .. was just great !! something the old RKB would never have cared for
Then not to forget the outstanding projection of this RKB by KP .. who has given us so many shades of RKB and portrayed them flawlessly 👏

Thanks Pri 😊

@bold - yep he is slowly and steadily getting to become the person who Ishita deserves and he is understanding that on a subconscious level making him mince his words to not hurt her. Somewhere at the back of his mind he knows he cannot hurt this woman after all she has done for him and is finally acknowledging all that he owes to her now. With each selfless act that Ishita did, which benefited him - she chipped away little by little the tough armor he wore all this time and now she is creeping up on him big time and he is yet to realize that.

Like last night the moment he enters the hall he misses her and says the same to Mihir everyone is here but Ishita and Mihir did a double take at his words- he has begun wanting her presence around him and while he doesnt hesitate to say so now, he is yet to get to the bottom of his new feelings for Ishita which make him spot her absence in a crowd within moments 😳
Of course kudos to KP for this perfection 😊

So to see this post from you acknowledging that Raman is slowly becoming a changed man is sooo exciting!!!!

Hey AnnJan 🤗 thanks so much for this sweet reply aww you gals always end up making me blush ☺️ I do nothing special man just say the things I feel and think - likes and dislikes thats all and RKB & KP deserve this appreciation completely. I believe if the CVs read these posts they shouldnt only have complaints from our end always, they should always hear what we like about their work 😃

You have put into words exactly what we have been thinking...I want to point out the part when Raman softens his tone when he says a second time that Ishita cannot conceive...I am so glad that you caught on to the change in his tone and his intent on making sure not to hurt Ishita with his choice of words...that little nuance was more than enough to show me that Raman is a man who is sensitive to Ishita's feelings, and like you said, he isn't indifferent to her anymore. Raman's character has gone through a lot of low points and definitely needed a lot of redemption, and this week, he got it...

yep he is slowly and steadily realizing he cannot just say things to Ishita, with only his feelings in consideration. He has to take into account the effect they can have on her and if he cannot make her feel appreciated as of yet, the least he can do is not hurt her by error or on purpose. So he is evaluating his actions and words when it comes to her now - which to me marks a real progress 😛 I read this quote once and it has stayed with me, I think it applies to RKB here, he is opening up to the fact that Ishita has a lot of baggage too and is as real a person as he is, he is opening his eyes to the fact that he needs to understand others too have had it hard and he hasnt been singled out in being misfortunate in life, the quote goes like this

"Love is the extremely difficult realization that something other than oneself is real."
Iris Murdoch, Existentialists and Mystics Writings on Philosophy and Literature

Not quite sure what else to say that you haven't already penned down so beautifully! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this new and improving Raman Kumar Bhalla!!!

As always the pleasure has been mine and thanks so much for this sweet reply 😃 and I hope this new RKB is here to stay 😎

Perfect post 👏
you have done full justice to the growth in character and range of development shown by RKB. He has been a jerk at times but both the actor and the character have managed to keep the audience in awe !!
Hats off

@bold - Word on this! Honestly I am amazed a Balaji product is being so nuanced and if I may say so, refined and sophisticated in its writing and approach if I hadnt seen the show myself I would have never believed Balaji capable of something like this 😆 and credit due to SP, CVs, and of course KP and DT. All these people together have come together for something amazing.

I am dying practically to see some of the scenes I read in the spoilers, the school apology Adi would be complied to make 😎 and of course the IshRa convo when he shops for her 🤣 I think that will be another milestone moment in this show filled with some great oneliners and of course the reactions RKB will have tonight on looking at Ishu in that patiala suit in Punjaban mode and when she tries the outfit he purchases for her with Ruhi

I'm both excited and nervous to see the adi apology scene. Eshita deserved that apology but I'm afraid it will piss off adi even more, leading him to start scheming against eshita and raman with his mom.

that scene where raman shops for eshita will be hilarious, can you imagine them bickering about the dress size? I hope this is a first step towards eshita's wardrobe change. I'm tired of seeing her in those outdated and cheap looking sarees. they should modernize her a little bit.

@bold - Zara I am even worried about Ruhi and Shravan, Adi may target them so very much - and Ruhi being his little sis, he might have not expected her to rat him out for a cousin she gained by a step-mom

@red - LOL I wanna see how they execute it and I so hopes Ishita misunderstands him or something here 🤣 maybe imagine he wants to gift her some lingerie 😉

Aani, Great post

Your post is so perfectly timed with the spoilers for next week - are you psychic?😊

I was thinking about Raman's transformation since last week when we were beginning to see the cracks in the wall of hate he had erected after Shagun left him for Ashok with Adi.

The Hate which it seems he erected in his heart agains women, marriage, apshagun, even somewhat Ruhi, love, and worse, himself. The hate which seemed to give him strength to go on, a purpose for being as it were.

Then later I was surfing, and came across this video of Robbie declaring his love for Kasturi in Karan Patel's previous serial. I hadn't seen Kasturi but was curious about his acting then. I have copied the link below . Listen from 00:29 to 1:31. His words that struck me were:

"Tumhaari Qasam. Tumse Nafrat Karne ki Bahot Koshish Ki Maine. Bahut Koshish Ki. Yahan Tak ke Tum Ko Zaleel Kiya, Duniya Ke Saamne, Apne Gharwaalon ke Saamne, Tumhaare Apno ke Saamne.

Lekin Nahin Kar Paaya, Mai Chaa Kar bhi Tumse Nafrat Nahin kar Paaya; Jaanti Ho Kyun? Iski eik Hi Wajaa hai ke

Nafrat Karne Ke Liye Wajaa Chahiye. Lekin Pyaar Bewajaa Hota Hai."

At first I thought cheesy dialogue. Then the neurons kicked in and the light bulb went on.

Of course! Shagun has been giving him reasons to hate. And Ishita? Ishita has just by authentically being herself, has been slowly, methodically, unintentionally taking away his reasons to hate.

No sorry, no thank you needed. No need to stand up for herself. It just unfolds with grace.

She just cared for, respected, and looked out for him and his family and in each and every situation, her truth has revealed itself. Hate cannot survive in the light of truth or love.

Thank you for dedicating this post to Raman and Karan. Its hard to tell where one starts and the other begins.

Sneha! Wow!👏 Great research. That dialogue fits Ishita and Raman so well!

Wonderful post and couldn't agree with you more, I love how the cvs have gradually shown a change in raman, I love the pace of his character development, it doesn't feel rushed, or out do know where. It feels natural and perfect timing. Seeing him slowly chahe without relaxing the affect ishu has on him or that ishu doesn't even know the change she is bringing in him. I love how they portrayed ishu as not being oot in bring about seo sort of change. It's wonderful to see. Cause it makes sense the pace if character development raman is having, given his past and it's gonna take more time for him to open up more.
