Hello Shello my lovely YHM family!!!!

Sigh!!! What a refreshing feeling to be back on the forum after a gap of a couple weeks. We have missed this forum like crazy!!!! Anywho, without further ado...moving on to the post.

The episodes so far have been the perfect mix of romance, comedy, emotion and drama. Today's episode, however, had the strongest tug at our hearts... Watching Ruhi and Ishita today made my heart melt and I can still feel a lingering pang hours after watching the episode. This mother-daughter duo are as dynamic as they will get!

I absolutely loved that Ishita knew that she was wrong and had the will power to forgo any sense of self righteousness, bring herself down to Ruhi's level and APOLOGIZE to her child for saying the things she said. Even though Ishita did not react in a way that Raman does (i.e. crude), the words that Ishita said had a powerful effect on Ruhi... I loved the scene when Ishita apologizes to Ruhi, showing us that parents too can and will make mistakes.

I hope that we can all, parents now, or when we do become parents, realize the power of our words and find it in ourselves to apologize to our children. I hope that we will become a generation of parents who will realize that we are not error-proof, not free from the web of mistakes, and not falter in placing a genuine apology to our children when they deserve it. Instead of giving our children the false idea that parents are perfect, I hope we can become individuals who show our children that both, parent and child alike, are entitled to forgiveness.

Sending you all lots of love!!!!

Beautifully written!! đŸ‘đŸŒI couldn't agree with you more...being raised in Canada, I see a huge difference with different races of parents, when it comes to apologizing. I'm South Indian, and for some reason, in our culture, I find that parents like having the authority over their children...and that's ok, but only until they've said or done something to hurt that same child...then they need to apologize. 😒

I agree that saying sorry, is more difficult for some people more than others, but if a relationship is that important, and the parent or child, whoever it is, knows that they have said or done something to hurt another person, no matter the age, they should say sorry.

I teared up with the way that Ruhi got hurt with Ishita...it was such a sweet gesture and I really think that it was very much neededđŸ„ș, because of how Ishita has been treated these past few episodes, especially by the Bhallas (not Mr. Bhalla ofcourse) and meanie Raman.

I absolutely agree!!! we are also South Indian, and sometimes, even in my parents, I find that they lack the humility to apologize to their children. I find it the easiest to connect with my parents when they tell me that they have made mistakes, and it makes them so much more relateable and allows me to empathize for and understand them better. I wish all parents would take the opportunity to apologize to their children more often... especially when we are growing up because we are all at such an impressionable age, and it is important to show kids that even if parents make mistakes, there can always be redemption. That's why that scene with Ruhi and Ishita really made our heart melt and even brought us to tears too...Ishita is a lovely parent, especially because she knows when she has to say sorry and knows when she has overstepped a line of limit. Thank you for your lovely comment :D

Well said.
I loved that seen too. I am glad they didn't show Ruhi going away into a corner crying. That she made her hurt and idgnation and hurt known. Ishu respects Ruhi and so she recognized her mistake and corrected it.

Ruhi as a child desrves the respect of an apology just as much as adults do.

Admitting ones mistake, despite our fears is liberating and healing.

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree w/ the TM & everyone else above. Just b'cos Ruhi is cute doesn't mean she's always right!!!

Ishita was talking to a pregnant girl, who wanted to know about her experience when she had Ruhi. So she told her the truth - that she didn't undergo that experience w/ Ruhi. In that sense, Ruhi is not her daughter. I know everyone in this forum loves to imagine that she is, and yeah, we all recognize the legitimacy of adoption and all that, but let's face it. Ishita was talking about her pregnancy experience, and she replied truthfully - the fact that she had none

Yeah, she could have phrased it differently, like 'Actually, I didn't give birth to Ruhi - Raman's previous wife Shagun did'. Ruhi wouldn't & couldn't have contested that. Just b'cos Ishita made a less than perfect choice of words that only a lawyer wouldn't normally use, she's to blame? What crap!!!

I know that Ruhi is young, but it's high time she realizes that all adult conversations are not for her.

Hey there! Absolutely!!! An apology, or even for that matter garnering someones respect, is not dependent on age. I was glad to see Ishita and Ruhi communicate with each other and share their feelings...that is so much more of a healthy relationship than what Raman does (becoming internal). I agree, admitting our mistakes is more therapeutic for us as individuals than it is for the person we may have wronged (just a general comment, not necessarily in regards to Ishita). Thank you tons for your comment 😃
