Ek Paheli. first I am just in awe of your writing. I read all five parts of your SS in one go yesterday and just sat and started at my screen for a few minutes. Your writing just makes people and situations come alive. If you aren't a writer already I hope you do become one professionally in some capacity.That the episode, Ruhi and the writing impacted you greatly, was evident in your writing.
While I loved the entire post, my favourit parts:
"Often children are considered as nadaan, nasamaj by the elders, but little Ruhi in her silent stand last night made a statement more powerful than any temper tantrum or screaming match could have made." People really do underestimate children, they are pure, perceptive and graceful in the truths they utter with such simplicity
Its sorta unbelievable that a Balaji product is being so nuanced in its writing. I hope this is the beginning of something here from India' largest soap factory. Yes they seemed to have turned a corner and I hope this is a sign of more great things to come
And it gives me a perverse joy, how the writers banked on our expectations and played them so well. They made Ruhi stand out when neither of us even saw it coming. Yes CVs have delivered many scenes that none of us could have predicted. In comparison, our wishes fell short of what was possible. Just like we try to read/predict what the CVs are going to do, they also read us well, these crafty CVs😉
Raman' numerous shuns and outrageous reactions could not provoke the little girl who longed for the love of her father to abandon his side, but his grave error - his intentionally hurting and humiliating her mother - her Ishimaa, provoked the girl enough to give Raman a taste of his own medicine. Speechless, I am.
