I agree with @Mages and @yeskay -- they could possibly use that track to be the deterrent in the Ashok-Shagun story, which will cause Shagun to try and go back to Raman. Like Karan said in the early interviews of the show, there is supposed to be a love triangle too. So I am assuming that there is quite a good possibility that Ashok has a nasty past or secret he is keeping from Shagun and the reason why he is so hesitant to tie the knot with her. I just hope that it doesn't lead to any separation between ISHRA.
HAYEEE!! Does this show how well all of us forum vaasiyon know Ekta and her tactics? I guess it is best to mentally prepare ourselves for these twists so that we won't be so surprised or frustrated. Although i really wish the CVs can come up with something more unique to showcase (speaking of which, the CV's are yet to disappoint us :D So I guess that is a good sign)
