Forum is flooding with topics criticizing Raman. I wasn't pleased with Raman's words in front of the whole family.Still, i thought he's worth a defence. In the absence of such a post, i'm doing it.

1.This is not a shocker for us.Maybe we didn't have the exact script but we knew this was coming. Raman is someone who doesn't have control over words when he's angry.

2.This is the same Raman who distanced himself from Ruhi blaming his past. Still, he never hated her. She has been his life. Ishu made him express the same. He is not differentiating Ishu for not being biological mother. He genuinely scolded her for being irresponsible towards their daughter. Father is scolding a mother...not that bad.

3.I saw that Raman is criticised for being calm while searching Ishu and asking police if there was a accident. What else to expect from Raman... They are not lovebirds... Whatever Raman did was in the nature of humanity not love... So, it was a practical approach...Tinge of attraction can't make Raman go weak...

4.According to Raman, Ishu is doing so because of Mihir and he feels that Ishu is emotionally blackmailing him. We can bash him if he doesn't apologise even after knowing the truth.

5.Even Ishu is not Mrs. Perfect. I hate heroines being epitome of sacrifice. She could have told its related to Simmi. So what, its his sister. Why should she suffer??? I don't understand this concept of serials. Why can't they be practical?

6.Both the characters are flawed. They are like mirrors.Even Ishu used same words as to she's doesn't care with whom Raman is after bringing him from Shagun's house.Difference is Raman blasted before everyone. It is definitely wrong.

When Ishu's slap didn't create a issue, why Raman's words alone??? He deserves a chance...

Yeh I agree. I didn't like what he said about dhakka maar kar out of the house in front of her parents but some of his other words were very true. Its like with the slap. I felt bad when Ishu did that and now Raman with all this shouting same sort of thing. A few bad episodes coming up I reckon

RKB went a little overboard today but the reaction to his behavior is just a tad bit extreme too. But I would like to know where is the outrage over ishita's irresponsible behavior?
Sure, we don't know the exact circumstances around what happened, but its hard to believe that she couldn't spare 2 mins to make a phone call and let someone know that she would be late. she chould have lied and said she was helping a friend or something to that effect. Just like Ishita cannot read Raman's past and his emotions, similarly Raman cannot see Ishita's goodness unless she speaks of what happened- it goes both ways! 😆 And her words to Raman about his staying out late, though accurate, were misplaced and out of context. she didn't stay out late to prove a point to Raman- she just imbibed his bad behavior (albeit for a more worthy cause I suppose)

I love this post!!! I am glad we can see reason for these characters even when they act so extreme.

I have to agree. The way Raman reacted was not unusual at all...Raman was definitely in character today. He can tend to be ruthless, sometimes physically, but mostly verbally. This behavior is not new to him...He has said very mean, insensitive things to Ishita about her inability to conceive and have a family of her own and I don't think he was half as rude today. Yes, it was an intense scene and he has reason enough to wonder what may have caused Ishita to be so irresponsible as to not think about Ruhi. I don't think he, however, made any comment about her not being Ruhi's biological mother...he was just simply stating that this marriage was for the sake of Ruhi and she should be Ishita's first priority. I don't mean that he shouldn't apologize for being so rude to Ishita, I just mean that it should not surprise us at all because it is a quality that is inherent in Raman that makes him react this way.

I don't agree with her being out so late and not letting anyone know where she is, but I could understand her when she said that she wanted to be alone, and Raman did not have the right to ask her where she was because he was being hypocritical. If Raman expects to not be bound by time and family, then he should allow Ishita to have that space (of-course, I don't mean that Ishita should just walk out of the home at any time of the day). I think the medium here would be for both of them to agree to be back home, regardless of what is going on, at a decent time. And each of them can have their own quite time within their homes.

I posted this in another topic but I think it also suits for your defense towards RKB, I also agree that Raman's behavior was acceptable.😊

I felt Raman's anger was justified but his words was indeed harsh yet I didn't expect anything less or more from him. That is how Raman Kumar Bhalla is, his anger is his strength and his weakness. When someone is overshadowed by their anger, they don't realize their actions. His harsh words and Ishita's slap is an example. His outburst today was from his concern for her safety, Ruhi's tears and the distress caused to both the family . Could see genuine concern in him as he was searching for her.

Ishu answer to him was indeed a tit for tat. He was not able to argue on her point because she was indeed true. Raman got the taste of his own medicine. Raman never gave her rights to question his action so Ishita expects the same from him unfortunately don't see both sticking to it.

When you have too high hopes on someone, a slightest mistakes makes a whole world of difference to people close to you. Mr Iyer's outburst was resulted from that. Ishita is an ideal daughter, she was his pride. Seeing her being questioned and taunted by her husband in front of both the families would hurt any parents. I found his reaction very realistic and acceptable. He would rather hurl those words to his daughter rather than letting another person.

I really liked how Raman immediately apologized to Mr Iyer and his family when Ishita was out of the scene. Wish Ishu could see how he respects her parents. It was nice to see the trust Mr Bhalla has on Ishita, how he manage to calm the situation maturely.

My only argument is Raman should know by now that Ishita is not a vain girl... If she said she was upset and wanted time off the should have accepted the same for the time being rather than saying what he said... When Ishita use to warn Raman when he behaved improperly with Ruhi... Raman called it Bak bak, so today Raman's lecture was not bak bak? Why?

nice and needed post...Raman Kumar Bhalla was in his character today...that is the way he is when he is angry he will blurt out what ever he has in his mind. Though he may not be right.
I think in a way they show that they care for each other by arguing with each other..!! 😊

Whatever Mr RKB is...he has no right to say he will kick her out...Imagine Ishu a well educated sacrificing woman...has she no self esteem? ...whatever be ur state of mind one needs to respect other human being...imagine how Mr and Mrs Iyer wld have felt...apology or no apology any parent hearing that wld feel horrible...Mr.Bhalla is the only saving grace...knew something was seriously wrong...hats off to his character⭐️
