I think what Ishita said was the truth. Roman is not a child to get fooled by someone so easy. He never once thought of the fact that if Ruhi was Ashoks child why would he not come and take her away from him all of these years. he took Romans son from him he would have taken his own daughter from Roman for sure.
I think at times Roman is not that smart of a guy. he is too easily influenced by by Ashok . He gave up his last name so easliy with out any fight or even try to proved himself. I understand that he is hurt and bitter about what betrayal that happen into his life but Roman is all about winning over Ashok not about building a relationship with his daughter.
Ishita is right a person who is in there life for 20 days knows his daughters likes, dislikes, feelings then that of a father who lives with her.
