its a bit complicated... in this condition, your and your brother's blood group could be either A+ or B+, but it can't be O or AB.
Similarly if both parents A+, the children cannot have B+ or AB+ blood group.
if both are O+, then the children have no chance of having blood group other than O+.

What I am trying to say that, there ARE some combinations of parents and child blood group that is not possible.

My dear... Your mother is AB so the A antigen is present... Therefore your brother is A... Hope this clears...Cheers!

All in want to say that in the serial Raman is Ruhi is B and Shagun (mother) is O and Raman (father) is B then ... Ruhi will have either O or B type blood she could never have A or AB type blood because the A antigen this not a part of her parents blood group. Here she is shown to have Raman's blood group...

that's exactly i had in my mind. Blood and DNA are two different things. A layman words saying "yeh mera khoon hai" (He/she is my blood) doesn't really mean they have the same blood group. It simply means he's my blood and flesh; my child.

Agree with you... Child cant have B with unless one of parent has B antegene which is there only for A, B or AB not O...

Age old tradition. You conveniently remember and forget lessons that have been drilled into your head because hey! the scene demands no logic.

You can't call the creatives careless this time. I wish I could explain. But I'm not good at explaining..I may write essays and create more confusion😆 But I think many have already pointed this out.
Blood grouping is indeed an interesting topic.

And on the topic, Raman feared if his blood group dint match with Ruhi's.(We know Ruhi is B and suppose his turned out to be A) Then they would call Shagun and hers,as we now know ,is O. Then the question would arise how did Ruhi become B+. Ruhi can't be B if none of her parents have B antigens in their blood.

Antigens are the factors that determine the blood group. In humans there are two antigens namely A and B. If no antigen is present then its O. Antigen A and B are expressive. They will express themselves no matter what 😆.If both are present then it will be AB(Both will express).
But O will not express itself when either of the antigens are present. O will express only when no antigen is present. That is, a person may have O genes in them but still may be of A or B group.

If the kid has received O gene from any of the parents (the parent may be A,B or O)[here in this case Shagun],Then the gene she has received from the other parent will determine her blood group. Raman has to have B antigen in him inorder to be Ruhi's father. (He can be of group B or AB )

Hope I'm clear. Or at least, hope I've not created much confusion😆
