Why has Ishita suddenly become Mrs Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla?

She should be Dr Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla - just because she got married, doesn't mean she loses her title. She's educated & she worked hard for it, why not continue to use it!

Damn, I know, and its weird the whole Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla why noy Ishita Iyer-Bhalla, it seems more appropriate. But for some reason this shows been annoying me with that, first claiming Shagun has no identity because she isn't married, then this...oh well only that much of a feminist stance can be expected from a daily soap

@Bold - I agree. That irked me. If a woman is a divorcee, does that mean she has no identity? That obviously means no such thing. But all Ekta serials are somewhat regressive in this approach. She tries and makes her females progressive and they even are progressive to a certain extent, then the CVs of her serials say this kind of dialogue and it throws you off.

Anyways, I guess we could just excuse that as Raman living in the 19th century and not blame the CV's. 😕

Why can't Ishita just call herself Dr. Ishita or Dr. Bhalla? She doesn't have to say Mrs. Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla every single time. She doesn't lose her old identity because she's married now.
