Ishita and Raman, each other's sworn enemies decide to marry one another for the sake of Ruhi in Ye Hai Mohabbtein. Ishita, who really gets attached to her neighbour's daughter has been appointed a temporary guardian by the court while Ruhi's custody gets decided. She has also been asked to provide a character certificate for both parents, Raman and Shagun.
While the neighbours continue to hate each other, their fathers decide to get them married so that Ruhi can stay with the Bhallas and infertile Ishita can raise a child. On hearing that there is a proposal, the two immediately agree to get married without even knowing who the partner is going to be.
