I think he has either some connections to Thakur family or could be something to do with his family's past. The photo is the clue to the mystery. Daaima said "wohbhi" - so could be his wife or his mum. Didn't he say to Prakash that he was lucky to have parents and should think about others who has not had that previlage of parents and Lata looked at him thinking she has found out something about him.
