TOI: I want to make a name in acting too-Aditya

A child is expected to follow his father's footsteps, butAditya Narayan, son of popular singer Udit Narayan went a step ahead and mastered several arts — singing, acting and hosting.

The youngster has come a long way. He took over from Shaan on a music reality show four years ago. The initial days were bumpy but once he got the pulse of the viewers, there was no looking back. After hosting some seasons, he went back to his first love — acting. But now he is back hosting India's X Factor and as expected has hit it off instantly with the audience.

He recalls, "I started off young and I am happy to become the youngest face as an anchor as opposed to the other hosts/actors from the film industry. They are way too big, so comparisons are hardly made. Thankfully, there isn't much competition in my age group and I am fortunate to have made my own little name." Talking about his stint in X Factor, he says, "I have hosted shows earlier but being a part of this show is amazing. It's the biggest singing platform in our country and over the world." He may be applauded as a host but Aditya's heart beats for acting. "I enjoy hosting shows, but what I really want to do is make a mark in the film industry as an actor. I have a long way to go and I'm enjoying my journey. I am looking at scripts side by side and hoping to close in on something soon. I want to be here for the long run," quips he. This Chhota Bachcha Jaanke Humko Na Samjhana Re singer has certainly grown up in no time.
