The Eternal Philosopher

In the midst of a split second

An emotion slipped from my heart.

Started twirling whirling, and twisting

As if it had flower-light feather wings!

Magic is what dreams are made of.

Feel genuine as long as we are inert

When awake, its canvas fades

But vibrant hues left a rainbow behind!

Inspire hope with sunshine

It will develop into a sunbeam!

Which breathes life

It gives you a fresh start!

When Dusk and Dawn started playing

Their preferred game Merry Go Round.

Time chuckled and joyfully applauded.

Only the eternal philosopher can hear!

Beautifully written, Madhu. I especially loved the stanza about dreams - it rang so true! They feel real as long as we're not conscious. But in that alternate reality we feel every emotion as deeply as if it was real!
