Empty
The emptiness within has been eating me away.
Piece by piece, leaving no crumb behind.
It was eating me clean; squeaky clean.
I felt like a stranger in my own skin. .
Disgusted, almost.
Scrubbing until a drop of blood peaked through.
Once again, the emptiness flooded my veins
and every aspect of my body.
Slowly but surely my soul was no longer mine.
My body was no longer mine.
I was not me.
Anymore.

A Puppet's Show
I was a puppet and you were my master.
You pulled the strings and I danced.
I danced till my feet bleed.
I struggled to stand still yet, you demanded I dance.
I danced with my crimson feet, broken ankle, and heavy eyes.
You ignored it all and repeated, "Dance!"
Night after night, I put on a show.
You bowed before the crowd as I fell.

Queen
I wore a crown of lies.
Ruled a kingdom of deception.
Walked the halls of pretense.
Ate meals of dishonesty.
And believed in hypocrisy.
Truth was a lost word
As lies became a foundation of beings.
False hope - one after another
Dead or alive, it huddled
Consuming.
Body and soul
Mind and heart
Filled with lies.
When will it stop?
When will it end?
When will it let me be?

Welp. Yeah.
I didn't know I could write shitty poems(ish) either. But these are literally written in middle of the night... so just let me know what you think of it. I am an amateur and I cannot write poems to save myself but these are sort of poems, I guess? This thread will be more of just whatever comes to my head and I write it down. It won't be all fully poems. Some will excerpt of short stories. Thanks!
