PART 3

Nadiya looked at Venkat, Chanda and that lil boy. She badly wanted to know who they are. Venkat asked Nadiya to teach her, while Chanda brought tea for them. In a few minutes Venkat left.

"Is he hiding something from me? If they were his wife and child, why should he marry me? This child must have born well before our marriage, so nothing had happened during my absence. Everything had happened before."

Her thoughts were disturbed by Chanda. "Whether you can teach me?" Nadiya nodded. Soon Chanda brought her books and Nadiya started teaching her. Chanda quickly grasped whatever Nadiya had taught. Suddenly the lil one, who was playing before, fell down. Chanda excused herself and she pacified the boy. It gave enough time for Nadiya to let her mind wander in thoughts.

"It seems Chanda is a bright student. Then why had she been an external student? Was she kicked out of the school due to certain reasons? Or was she forced by her parents? And why is she staying in Tamil Nadu? God ... Please give answer to my questions..."she told herself.

Chanda came back to her and they resumed the work. Soon it was 1.00 PM and both of them needed a break. Nadiya wanted to enquire Chanda, but she stopped herself from asking. As if reading her thoughts, Chanda said" Nadiya, I know you want to ask something. But you are restricting yourself. Tell me."

Nadiya reluctantly asked "Chanda how do you know Venkat? I want to know why he is helping you. Please forgive me if it hurts you." Though Nadiya didn't started loving him, she wanted no one in Venkat's life other than her. Chanda replied "Don't worry Nadiya. I am not his wife. I am his unofficial Anni. His periyappa's only son Prem loved me, spent a night with me and then cheated me." Tears welled up in her eyes. Nadiya was flabbergasted. She cursed herself for suspecting Venkat and Chanda.

Chanda continued" I was born in Orissa and I did my schooling in TamilNadu. Venkat was my junior, while Prem was my senior. We loved each other for nearly three years. He completed his schooling, while I had one more year left. He joined in a nearby college and we used to roam in the free time. One day we were unable to return due to certain reasons and were forced to stay together that night. He used me, gave a child in my womb and then he left me. Even my family refused to accept me. My school kicked me out to save their reputation. Both Venkat's family and his periyappa's family didn't accept me. I was about to end my life. But Venkat saved me in the nick of time. Since then, he is taking care of me and my child. Please don't reveal this matter to his family. They are very conservative. This is my only request." She sobbed. Nadiya was in tears too.

"Venkat is a gem. He met me before your marriage and told me what you told him. He added that even if he rejected you, someone will marry you and you should quit your studies. He started liking you from your very first meeting. He wanted to give a new life to you. So please don't suspect him." Chanda folded her hands and Nadiya stopped her. She assured Chanda that she will support him through thick and thin.

--------------------

Venkat was at his office. He was busy with his works. Natasha came inside his room.

"Natasha, what are you doing here?"

"Eh... I have no work, so came here to chat with you. By the way I heard that your wife returned yesterday. Something might have happened between you. Ok tell me what happened yesterday. It might be useful for me."

"Don't you have any shame? Just get out. I don't even like you. Why are you roaming behind me and asking unnecessary questions?" he shouted at her.

"I want to know why you refused my proposal and accepted that Nadiya. I loved you for nearly four years. You were unable to accept the girl who loved you but you were able accept an unknown girl. I feel strange. Or... Did anything happen between you even before marriage?"

That was enough for him. He wanted to slap her, but he didn't do that because it may land him a trouble. He left the place in anger.

"I wanted you to slap me, Venkat. I could have created a big drama. Anyways, I have one more chance. I know one of your secrets which I hid from everyone before as I loved you. Now I am not going to leave you. I will definitely spoil your reputation. Chanda..." She smiled sarcastically...

-----------------------------

Venkat came back to Chanda's home to pick up Nadiya. Chanda pleaded them to have lunch and they had their lunch there. Chanda observed them. Soon they departed.

"Everyone called me cupid during the school days. I helped many lovers, though they didn't help me during my problem. Now I am alive because of Venkat. So I must do something in return. I must help them fall in love with each other."Chanda smiled like a child.
