You can skip the first story, Velvet Chains *embarrassed* 😆 it was my first and last foray into the 'mature' genre, and I was quite anxious at the thought of youngsters reading it...until some of my wise young readers reassured me that the content did not qualify for the +18 category 😆

The list you've put up is awesome! Thank you so much for it 🤗 I don't read stories online and I'm too lazy to learn the rules of new sites, but am going to save this list for the future...just in case.

Turns out that my list is quite short, with each of you adding one more site. Regarding feedback via twitter, I have no clue to be honest, I do not even have an account or is it called a handle?

Medium is a good site as far as reading goes - covers a vide range of both fiction / non fiction / technical / general topics. You have to pick out the topics you prefer and all new updations are sent to your mail id.

Dear Ex,

I'm so glad to have you in my life. And I mean it. Your presence is like that wrist band I bought in seventh standard, that doesn't look cool anymore. But I need it anyway, to remind me of what went by, what won't return, what had its share of flaws, and yet, what stays like a soft warm breath. Forever.

I'm glad we can still fight over little things, and then all of a sudden realise how petty these issues are, but maybe meant so much someday that we decided to part ways. I love how we both laugh at them now, stopping suddenly, looking into each others eyes.

I'm glad we can still enjoy the fullest in get-togethers and don't need to shy away, I'm glad we're mature enough to be able to create this comfort zone, to be able to realise that we are beautiful humans in our own ways, and just because we couldn't gel together doesn't mean we need to be shunned.

And just because we have known each other's shortcomings and insecurities, we cannot trust each other anymore. I'm glad neither of us think in this line.

I'm glad, we can still lend each other a hand, and this time, without expectations. I'm glad that our present partners don't need to be insecure of either of us, and yet how we can stand by when need be.

Dear Ex, I'm so glad, that the end of our love didn't plant the seedling of hatred, neither do I need to block or unfriend you on social medias.

I'm so glad, that I once chose you, and neither have to regret of letting you go.

That random rambling above - is .. for lack of better words.. just brilliant. 👏👏👏 I do not have anything else to say, for fear that it would detract from what you have written.

I had a fleeting thought, over the past couple of days, that maybe, given the reduced traffic in IF and also my decreased visits, maybe it is time to close this thread and bid adieu. And poof, you write something so beautiful.. there is no way I am going to stop this thread - what started out as a place to ramble is now turning to a treasure chest😳😳

As I have been saying, my list is quite incomplete.

I did read up on Archive of Our Own (AO3) and the history is quite interesting, though as you said, the fandoms are quite different and our indian TV shows might not find a presence (I still have not gone through all the fandoms😆😆)

And okay, maybe I will try wattpad, if only to overcome my irrational dislike of that site (I have an inkling as to why I dislike it😊) but then I also know that it is tough to have an equal attention in tow sites. As of now, IF is more like home but then get too comfortable could make one quite complacent.
