Episode 5~Curiosity it is
Kshitija felt goosebumps, this was neither something usual nor something unusual.The day seemed merrier and the sensations heart warming.The vibes around Shubhi made her wonder what love is.By the past few days,Kshitija saw the zeal in Shubhi's tone and the love in her blush whenever she spoke of Rishi.Kshitija rarely thought about the love she'll get herself.She was amazingly surrounded by so awesome couples everywhere.And most of it,if she ever wanted,she want her marriage to be like Dev and Vridhhi's,they werent perfect but ideal.Kshitija had always observed love was powerful and she saw it with Shubhi.Though Shubhi could hardly recite of what Rishi did for her,Kshitija realized it was Shubhi who loved unconditionally.
This day was different for the reason she didnt knew herself.An entire curiousity filled in her.And this name 'Aaditya' echoed in her heart.She wondered why is she being this peculiar about it?And again she didnt knew yet.
She sat by her bed choosing her wardrobe for the party.And she had to get ready too,picking out the best,she wore her favourite attire today.
She felt her very own universe was conspiring against her,for the reason she didnt know yet.She smiled at the madness of the sky.The nature was planning something pleasing.
She stood for her prayer,"Maa Gauri,what have you planned for me now?"
She got no answer except a warm and ensuring smile.
"Lives would change now"The saint smiled at Aaditya.
The saint who came for the ceremonies told to Aaditya when he touched his feet.
Before anyone could ask anything further,he moved to his work not before glancing the same look to Rohan an other while.
The engagement was to be held at Gurgaon,the native place of the Dheers.Arrangements were made and there was a buzz in the industry regarding this tie.
The Kaushiks,the elders and the boys all reached there.It didnt look like a ceremony but more of a meeting when the Dheers greeted Kaushiks.To keep the children away from all this,Yash and Harsh were made to manage for the guests-decor and Aaditya and Rohan were sent to pick Shubhi from Delhi.
"Maa would you please give Dii's address?"Aaditya asked Kaanchi.
"Sure,I'll message it now.Bring my daughter really fast"
"Quick Maa Quick"Rohan said.
"Rohan,we still have a lot of time,be patient"
"Anyways"Rohan replied.
"Dont forget you are bringing her friend too,please behave like gentlemen"Kaanchi teased her sons.
"Oh..wait..friend?Arent all her friends from Mumbai already here?"Rohan asked.
"No,she's this special friend from Delhi,the one about whom Shubhi is always talking.Her sole companion there.I am eager to meet her,of all the praises she has earned from a gem herself like Shubhi"Kaanchi told fondly.
"Wow!And how is she known as?"the ever curious Rohan asked.
"It was a pretty name"Kaanchi thought.
Aaditya paid a lil attention to the name among the chaos surrounding him.
"Kshitija it was..Dr.Kshitija Vats"
"Wow!Doctor?"
"Yes she's an intern now,in the same college as Shubhi"
A name that soothed Aaditya unknowingly.A beam of happiness was felt by Aaditya.The same wind that blew over Kshitija reached to Aaditya who was found in the same state as her.Suddenly,Aaditya sensed some difference,something would definitely change.
Why is he so curious about Kshitija?
"I am ready Di"
Kshitija came to Shubhi's room.
"So am I Kshiti!Lock your room,bring your luggage here,my brother will carry it with mine"Shubhi seemed excited.Whatever it be,Shubhi was the girl who found happiness in everything.
"Oh no Di!I can carry it on my own"
"I know it stupid girl,still,what are younger brothers for?"
"But.."
"I bet you wouldnt do the same with your cousin Arsh"
"Alright you win!You always make me agree to your point"Kshitija pouted cutely.
"Awww!A few more hours and you'll find many others who'll adore you like I do"
"Excuse me,you are supposed to be the bride Dii and the one to be adored"
"You!"Shubhi giggled,"But I know my family will love to meet you"
"And so will I"
The journey was smooth,but only for Rohan.Aaditya felt still a little nervous and happy for no reason.
'I never knew I did have some mad traits like Rohan,Harsh and Shubhi Di'
Rohan was eyeying him suspiciously, for Aaditya was thinking something really deep.
"What?"
"Werent you telling me to be patient as we had a lot of time still?"
"I did,why?"
"Then why are you acting like if you dont reach there within the few more minutes you'll go bankrupt?"
"Stupid question Rohan!"Aaditya laughed shaking his head.
Finally they reached the campus.
Shubhi was locking everything when she recieved Rohan's call.
"Hello!"
"Di,we are here!"
"Really?Great!Come up"
"What are you telling me to do?Its women hostel ofcourse I cannot come"
"Silly,who'll load all this stuff then?"
"Oh right,what are brothers for?"
"Hmm.I have talked to the warden.Now come"
"As you say"
Within no time,Rohan was present before Shubhi.
"Diii"
"Ro"
They hugged each other tightly and Shubhi was back at her habit of pulling Rohan's ear.
"Di!I am here to warn you"
"For what?"
"Lets run somewhere else,dont get married"
"Why?"
"Its boring"
"And who's telling me?You yourself are unmarried"She pulled his ear more tightly.
"Thats why I say,I'll toh pakka run"
"Silly!Nothing changes my decision to marry Rishi"She said proudly.
"Oh okk ok.Proceed,Bhaiya is down waiting for you"
"Aadi!I am being to him.You come with the rest of the luggage and also my friend who'll be here in a few minutes.And yes no pranking with her!"
"Okay"
Shubhi left.Rohan waited at the corridor.
Kshitija saw a guy at distance,probably near the pillar.
Yes,she saw Shubhi's things with him.'Is he Aaditya?'
She went near,
"Excuse me"
Rohan turned,then trying to recognize her for some while,he yelled,
"Oh hii!Kshi...Dr.Kshitija Vats?"
He asked.
'The younger one,surely he would be'Kshitija smiled.
"Hii!Yes I am Kshitija.Nice to meet you Rohan"
"How do you know my name Dr.Vats?"
"Shubhi Di always talks of you,say that I already knew you"
"Great!Shubhi Di talks about you too"
"Still you took a lot of time to recongnize me,hmm?"Kshitija chuckled.
She felt a beautiful siblingship existing between them.He too felt he could frankly speak to her.
"Oh it was...your name's too hard to remember"Rohan acted to think.
"And who is Dr.Vats?You're not being this formal with me"
"Okay Kshitija Didi!Shubhi Di told you were quiet"he chuckled.
"So?"
"That means I cannot prank you"he told.
Kshitija led out a delightful laugh.
"Cute you are Rohan.!And yes you cannot prank me,you wont be able to"
"Really?Beware Di!You wont be able to handle my mischief"
"We'll see"she pulled his cheeks.
"Lets leave"
As soon as they started walking,Rohan snached the bag away from Kshitija's hand.
"No!I'll carry this,You already are taking this lots with you."
"No!My sisters dont work when I am around."
"But..."
"And If my brother comes to know that I didnot behave like a gentleman,he'll leave me here itself"
"Rohan,you are a gentleman"
"Really?Then Di you should really see my brother,he's the best person you'll ever find in this world"
Admiration shone in Rohan's eyes and respect in Kshitija's,for Aaditya.
Shubhi adjusted her belongings in the car.
Aaditya waited for Rohan and Shubhi Di's friend to come down.
He still didnt get over the feeling he had since the morning.He waited impatiently.He didnt know what was happening to him.
The nature rejoiced,for it was the time.The same wind could blow now all at once,for the people who were destined will meet now.Soulmates they were and the universe designed it such that they'll know it instantly when they meet.
The sky was a pleasant witness.
Rohan came to Aaditya and Kshitija followed him.
Aaditya's eyes suddenly found their force and so did Kshitija's.
"Bhaiya,here's Shubhi Di's friend and my new sister"
Rohan went upto help Shubhi who was struggling with some load.
A magic in the moment,with all the curiosity,nervousness,admiration and longingness coming to a conclusion.The hearts paced its best.
Lips smiled on their own.
But the moment had to be back to reality.
"Aaditya"
he introduced himself,asking for a handshake.
Without breaking the eye contact and the smile that formed,she replied,
"Kshitija"
and shook her hand with his.
And thus,the sun met the horizon even when it wasnt the sunrise or sunset.
"Come Didi"Rohan called from the other end.
This brought them out of the moment.Taking away her hand,Kshitija went past him.With none of them still knowing why?
At last the universe echoed,
"Curiosity it is,which makes the fear of change fragile"
