While Rishi went to go change in the closet, Milli was already in her dress, which was now covered by her robe. After taking off her robe, she sat in front of the mirror at the dresser and took out the diamond jewelry set, putting on the diamond earrings and necklace. As she was putting on her pumps, Rishi came out of the dressing room, all dressed up. Except for the tie which from what it looked like, he was struggling to put it on. Milli then glance over to him, noticing his struggle. "Man!" Rishi exclaimed. "I knew I should've gotten a bow tie! Its impossible to put this on!"
Milli shook her head as she stood up and walked before Rishi, who was still fidgeting with the tie. Milli put his hands off of the tie and then proceeded to tie the tie for him. Rishi watched her silently as she easily began tying the tie around his neck. Once she had finished tying, she said, "You're twenty six years old and you still don't know how to wear a tie?"
"Hey! I've never worn one before!"
"Then why today?"
"Because dad always wanted to see me wear one. I thought I might as well wear one for tonight."
"Wow! For once you're thinking about someone else's likes!"
"Whatever. We have to go now! We're getting late."
And so, Rishi and Milli left the apartment and Rishi drove them off to Randeer Singhania's mansion where the party was being held. Inside the mansion, guests were all gathered around in the ballroom where Rishi and Milli made their entry. And upon seeing them, all the guests started to clap for the couple. Rishi then smiled for them all as he pulled Milli closer to him by her waist, keeping his arm tightly secured around her as he waved to everyone. Three photographers even came forth and took pictures of the couple. "What are you doing?!" Milli questioned Rishi in a whispering tone.
"Just smile and look pretty." Rishi replied back as he continued to smile for the pictures while Milli tried to do the same.
Randeer then went up to Rishi and Milli. "Hi, son." Randeer greeted as he gave Rishi a hug. He then turned to Milli, "Milli dear, you look great." Randeer then hugged Milli as she kindly replied, "Thanks, papa."
"Glad you both are here," Randeer told Rishi and Milli. "Now go enjoy yourselves. Talk to some people, have a drink, or eat. Have fun."
"Thanks, dad." Rishi grinned as Randeer then left to attend to more guests.
Milli was just about to go until Rishi stopped her by grabbing hold of her arm. "Where are you going?" Rishi asked Milli.
"I don't know. To get something to eat! I'm hungry."
"Well don't walk away from me!"
"Why?! Are you so scared to walk around alone that you need someone's hand?!"
"Very funny. We're married now and everyone wants to see us as a happily married couple."
"If only half the truth was there."
"Just hold my arm, walk with me, and smile at everyone who passes."
And so, Milli rolled her eyes as she walked arm in arm with Rishi and the two walked by the many guests. They continued to do until Rishi stopped in his tracks, mortified at what he saw. A large group of ladies were standing by near the snack table. And all were looking at Rishi. "Stay here! I'll be back!" Rishi told Milli as he then dashed off, leaving Milli confused.
As Milli then turned around, Meera then approached Milli. "Hi. So you're Rishi's wife, right?" Meera asked Milli.
"Oh...yeah."
"Hi, I'm Meera."
"Meera? Oh...Rishi told me about you."
"Oh. So you know I'm his ex-girlfriend?"
"Yeah. He told me pretty much everything."
"Yeah. That's typical Rishi. But anyways, congratulations."
"Oh thank you."
"I hope you can handle him. He's a bit of a hassle."
As Randeer was with some friends, Rishi came up to him and said, "Dad! I need to talk to you!" Randeer walked with Rishi and asked, "What happened, son?"
"What's wrong with you, dad?!"
"What did I do?"
"Why did you invite all my forty one ex-girlfriends to this party?!"
"Oh...see, son. I didn't have all your friends' numbers. So I just sent a mass invite to all your Facebook friends."
"What?! Who does that?!"
"Well why are you still friends with all your ex-girlfriends on Facebook?!"
"Dude, I don't go on Facebook anymore! Not after Corina wouldn't stop direct messaging me every day! Its all about Twitter now!"
"Whatever. I don't get you youngsters. Just let them enjoy the party. All your college friends are waiting for you anyway."
"Fine. I'll go then. Bye."
As Rishi left, he was stunned to see Milli talking to Meera. He then went over to the two and said, "Milli! I think someone was calling for you!"
"Really?" Milli asked Rishi.
"Really!" Rishi replied, signaling Milli to go.
"Okay," Milli rolled her eyes. "It was nice talking to you, Meera."
"Same here." Meera smiled.
With that, Milli left. Rishi was just about to leave as well until Meera said, "You're not going anywhere."
"Huh?"
"Okay...what's going on here?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean this wedding of yours! Something is up and I know it!"
"Meera, I don't get anything you're saying!"
"There's no way Rishi the womanzier would get married! Did your dad pressure you? You like in Bihar where boys get married at gunpoint?"
"Shut up, Meera. Anyways why do you care? You broke up with me so you could focus on getting into Bollywood! Now how's that plan going?!"
"Very fine actually! I signed a three film deal with Dharma Productions!"
"Oh congrats! Did the surname Kapoor help you by any chance?!"
"Shut up! At least I have work! You don't even have a job, you useless douchebag! That wife of yours is really in for it!"
With that, Meera walked over to the other ladies in an angry manner. "Why is she so pissed off?" Rishi asked himself. "She doesn't still have feelings for me, does she?"
As Milli was walking around, she was stopped by a young, handsome man in a velvet Armani suit. She looked at him and he said, "Hi, Milli."
"Ankur!" Milli exclaimed.
"So you do remember me!" Ankur said.
Milli gave Ankur a hug to which he returned. And at that moment, Rishi was watching from afar. She's hugging him?! Rishi thought to himself. How does Ankur know Milli?!
"Its really nice to see you. You seem to be doing well."
"I am. Actually me and Rishi were classmates in college."
"Oh...that's nice."
"Anyways, glad to see you got settled."
"Hi Ankur!" Rishi intervened between Milli and Ankur as he shook Ankur's hand.
"Hey, Rishi," Ankur greeted. "How are you?"
"I'm okay," Rishi said as he grabbed Milli by her waist. "You seem to know my wife very well already?"
"Oh...yeah." Ankur said.
"So how do you two know each other?" Rishi questioned.
"Oh...actually...," Ankur struggled to talk. "Actually my parents tried to fix my rishta with Milli while she was in her third year of college."
"Oh really?!" Rishi exclaimed.
Why's he being so nosy?! Milli asked herself.
"Yeah," Ankur said. "But Milli didn't want to get married at that time. And even I decided I wanted to focus on my career first."
"But we still remained friends after that." Milli said.
"Yeah, of course!" Ankur exclaimed.
"Oh how sweet!" Rishi tried to fake a smile as he held onto Milli even tighter.
"Well...I should go catch up with some other friends," Ankur said. "It was nice seeing you both. Congratulations."
"Thank you." Milli replied.
"By the way, where are your parents? I haven't seen them yet." Ankur told Milli.
"Oh...um...," Milli tried to come up with an answer. "They-"
"They had to go back to Gujarat!" Rishi lied. "Some urgent family matter I think."
"Oh okay," Ankur nodded. "I'll see you guys."
"Bye, Ankur," Rishi waved bye as Ankur then left. "What a douche!"
"Excuse me?!" Milli exclaimed, getting away from Rishi's grasp around her waist.
"Oh come on! He's a heartbroken Majnu! Loser!" Rishi exclaimed.
"He's my friend." Milli said.
"Oh yeah! I know what kind of friends you are!" Rishi exclaimed. "After all, you straight up hugged him!"
"What the heck is wrong with you?!" Milli asked. "You're acting like some typical jealous husband!"
"Jealous and me?! HA! I'm just saying because we're married, its not right for you to go hug another guy like that!" Rishi said.
"Oh and its okay for you to hang around your ex-girlfriends!" Milli retorted. "Very good! Hypocrite."
Milli left Rishi behind while he stood, appalled. Chics I tell you! Rishi thought to himself.
Meera looked on at Milli as she stood idle among the crowd. She then turned to the waiter and said, "You still have some vodka?"
"Yeah. Would you like some, ma'am?" the waiter asked.
"Not for me. Give some to Mrs. Singhania. The poor girl's standing there bored." Meera said.
"Okay, ma'am." the waiter agreed as he headed off towards Milli.
Let's see how Rishi's innocent wife is like after one drink, Meera smirked. After all, she won't even realize its vodka.
"Ma'am, this is for you." the waiter said as he handed a glass of vodka to Milli.
"Oh thanks," Milli said as she took the glass of vodka while the waiter then left. "I needed some water anyway."
Milli gulped down the vodka. But after drinking about more than half, she said, "Why does this water taste weird?" She then shrugged her shoulders and finished the drink.
In the other corner of the ballroom, Rishi was talking with his friends. "I know! Shahrukh was fabulous in that movie!" Rishi told his friends. "He should work with Ashutosh again!"
As he continued talking, Milli then came right behind him, walking in an unsteady manner. She then smacked him on the head. "What the heck!" Rishi exclaimed. "Who are-"
Rishi turned around, surprised to see Milli there. "You idiot! How dare you leave me alone like a statue?!" Milli exclaimed.
What's with her?! Rishi asked himself. He then noticed Milli's unsteady posture as she stood before him. Oh God. She's drunk! How on Earth did she get herself drunk?!
"What do I look like to you?! The statue of liberty?!" Milli exclaimed.
"Excuse me, guys." Rishi told his friends as he then pulled Milli off to the side.
"What did you drink?!"
"Water."
"Liar! Water doesn't make you drunk! Oh shoot. You must have had vodka!"
"Stupid waiter! He gave me some nasty water!"
"Listen, can you just shut up?!"
"NO! In fact...I want to tell the world something!"
"Tell the world what?!"
"That you're a fraud! Hey, world!"
"Shut up!"
"This guy marries girls on the spot! Its a new business!"
"Shut up!"
Rishi put his hand over Milli's mouth. "That's it. I'll have to take you home then." Rishi said.
Rishi then pulled Milli with him over to where Randeer was. "Dad, me and Milli have to go now." Rishi said.
"But son, the party has barely gone on." Randeer responded.
"I know," Rishi replied. "But Milli is not feeling well. So I should take her home."
"Oh okay," Randeer said. "Take care of yourselves then."
"Okay! Bye, dad!" Rishi exclaimed as he then grabbed hold of Milli and took her outside.
"See how marriage has changed my son," Randeer told his friends. "Soon he'll learn to become a responsible young man!"
"I don't believe this!" Rishi exclaimed as he took Milli over towards the car. "First dad invites all my ex-girlfriends for this party. Then, Mr. Ankur tries to get all touchy touchy! And now M&M is drunk! This can't get any worse!"
"Yay! Stars!" Milli exclaimed as she then ran off from Rishi and looked at the night sky.
"M&M!" Rishi called. "Don't run like that! Come on! We're going home!"
"No!" Milli replied. "I want to see the stars!"
"You can see the stars anytime! Come now!" Rishi ordered.
"No! I want to see now!" Milli pouted.
"If you don't come now, I'll take you away by force!" Rishi warned.
"I won't come!" Milli nodded her head as she giggled.
Rishi shook his head as he then lifted Milli, carrying her in his arms and walking towards the car. "Help! Help!" Milli called out. "My husband's taking me away!"
"Oh yeah. Like anyone is going to help you for that." Rishi rolled his eyes as he placed Milli down in the front car seat, putting on her seat belt for her. He then sat in the drivers seat, started the car, and took off.
And just when Rishi thought he'd get a peace of mind, Milli began to sing. "Le jayenge le jayenge...dilwale dulhania le jayenge!" Milli started singing to the top of her lungs.
"And I thought I was a bad singer." Rishi rolled his eyes as he continued driving.
"You sing too!" Milli exclaimed.
"Why would I sing?!" Rishi asked. "No way!"
"Then I will continue singing!" Milli laughed.
"Fine then," Rishi shook his head. "Keep going, Madonna!"
As Rishi was still driving, Milli then took off her belt and got up, standing up from her seat as she started dancing and singing, "I am a disco dancer! Na na na na! I am a disco dancer! I am a disco dancer!"
"What the hell!" Rishi shrieked as Milli started disco dancing in the ferrari as she continued singing. "Stop it!"
"Zindagi mera ghana! Main kisi ki deewana!" Milli continued singing as she waved her hands around and continued dancing while two guys that were in another car passing by were watching her. "Tho jhumo! Tho nacho! Aa mere saath nacho! Gao! I am a disco dancer! I am a disco dancer!"
"Oh God!" Rishi cried.
The two guys in the other car then whistled at Milli with Rishi noticing. "Yeah, baby! You're hot!" the guy driving the car exclaimed.
"Hey! Get lost before I break your foot!" Rishi shouted at the guy.
"How can I go?! This is the best entertainment yaar!" the guy exclaimed.
"Go or I'll smack you!" Rishi yelled.
The guy then drove the car faster to get away while the other guy with him in the car turned around and shouted to Milli, "Call me anytime!"
"What a douche!" Rishi exclaimed. He then pulled Milli down, making her sit back in the car. "Sit down quietly and put on your belt!"
"Okay, hubby!" Milli giggled as she then put on her belt. "Om jai jagdish-"
"No more singing!" Rishi yelled.
"Then you sing!" Milli exclaimed.
"I told you I'm not singing!" Rishi replied.
"Fine! I'll dance again!" Milli said.
"No, no!" Rishi shrieked. "I don't even know what to sing."
"Sing Shahrukh song!" Milli ordered.
"Shahrukh song?! I only know one by heart!" Rishi said.
"Then sing it!" Milli exclaimed. "Or I dance!"
"Okay, okay!" Rishi said as he then cleared his throat. "Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam. Pyaar hota hai deewana sanam. Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam."
"Yay! My favorite song!" Milli laughed. "Sing! Sing!"
"Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam," Rishi continued singing as he was driving. "Pyaar hota hai deewana sanam. Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam. Pyaar hota hai deewana sanam. Ab yahan se kahan jaaye hum. Teri baahon mein mar jaaye hum."
Rishi then looked to the side to see Milli had fallen asleep. He took a deep breath out of relief and continued driving till they reached back to the apartment. Once he parked the car, he got out and carried Milli in his arms inside the building as they headed upstairs to their flat. Once they got in, Rishi then took Milli to the bedroom where he gently placed her on her side of the bed. As he placed her there, he realized Milli's hand was clutched onto the collar of his blazer, which pulled him closer to her. He glanced at her solemn, sleeping face. He then removed her hand off of his collar and then tucked her in, placing a blanket over her.
He then let out a deep breath as he headed towards the bathroom. What a night! Rishi shook his head.
