Great hall got crammed with royal ranks. Commons were standing outside the palace to hear King's decree about girl from future. Proclamation did bring people to the palace to witness King's decree.

Aaron was commanding troops to form security arrangements for king. Hall got settled with arrival of King.

Whispers went mum. People were waiting for verdict. Aaron looked into King's eyes before tilting them in his honor. He did compress his strayed emotions.

"People of Oakland

It's not long gone when we were gathered to decide something of similar nature. I strongly believe that my council and ministers have always counseled me right," King said.

Flashy ministers shared pleased smiles.

"After spending a night with my thoughts, I feel that my decision would be in welfare of state. Though, I feel that girl from future is not a threat for us but when I look back at time, I cannot deny the potential. My ancestors would want me to take that potential in consideration."

Aaron looked up. He knew what decision was about to come. He did know King that much. His face got filled with nauseate.

"My decision is...to keep the girl seized," he said.

Hall got filled with clamor.

"Quiet!

I have not finished yet," said King, "She is not an enemy...not now at least but we cannot risk."

Aaron looked displeased. He was trying to find ground for such wary. He looked at King. King looked irresolute. This was not the first time when Aaron found this irresolute in King's eyes.

He walked furiously towards the chamber where Avleen was kept. He was of course obeying orders. He pushed the door. She was sitting on bed. She stood up as soon as she saw Aaron with bunch of troops.

"What?" she asked in scare.

Aaron found it hard to break news on her. He could just open his mouth a bit to find the right words.

Avleen's words were circling in his mind,"you were not supposed to slaughter them. You are brutal. I don't even think of standing you anymore."

"King decreed," he opened the royal decree to read. Avleen didn't get a thing what Aaron read.

There was no milder way to put this. He sighed and said, "You are seized for indefinite period."

He wrapped the scroll and walked away. He had collected the strayed focus. Heresy wasn't his right. He was servant of state and King. He obeyed the rules.

She was taken to a narrow path.

Avleen couldn't believe it. She was just sentenced without a trial. She couldn't get the reason behind such wary. Craziest thing she could do against kingdom was run away.

Narrow lobby ended at a big door. Guards opened the doors and she was in this big room with a big window and a bed. She walked in. And doors behind her got closed. She turned to see the narrow lobby. Maybe, for a long time she won't be able to see the path. A tear drop fell down her cheek. She wiped it immediately. She didn't want to accept the pessimism.

Big window exposed a beautiful scene. Endless mountains, not the kind of Ireland have. These were a bit fresh and oral. A lake, big one, as far as her eyes could see. And she looked down. She was kept in tower, maybe.

Cold and isolated, she stared out of window whole day. Sun burnt and collapsed in mountains. Night was there to accompany her. Nebula beautifying sky as well as lake, everything was so beautiful yet so ugly. She closed her eyes and let tear drops flow down the cheeks.

A strong knock on door, she got petrified.

A lady carrying a tray walked in.

"Don't be frightened Missy," she said, "I am your maid, Reese!"

"Maid?" asked Avleen.

"Yes! Knight has appointed me to look after you," she answered.

"Jesus! Look at you. You have swollen your eyes. Have you been crying whole day?" Reese asked.

Avleen didn't answer.

"Here's your Dinner," Reese said, "I am utterly regretful that I didn't know your taste."

Avleen looked skeptically at her.

"Do you people ask about a prisoner's taste?" she ridiculed.

"You are not a prisoner," Reese said, "not in eyes of everyone. You haven't harmed any of us."

Avleen didn't react and took the food. She was hungry.

"Knight told that you were hit by a poisonous arrow. I have made you a medicine," she offered Avleen a soup.

"Who knight?" Avleen asked.

" knight Aaron!" she answered.

Avleen threw away the soup bowl. Hatred on her face was so apparent.

"I don't want anything from him. I don't want to hear about him. I don't want his shadow near me. He is the one because of whom I am here, stuck," vented Avleen.

Reese could see the hurt.

"Leave it. I have brought you some cloths," Reese offered.

"Look at it," Reese grabbed Avleen's hand, "you have painted your nails.

She was amazed looked at Avleen's Nail paint. Avleen smiled first time in whole day. Reese's innocence was to credit.

Reese was definitely amused seeing Avleen. Girl from future was amusing for her.

"I could never meet the boy from future. I have heard that he has a ever running clock," Reese said.

Avleen got stuck with her words.

"Boy from Future?" asked Avleen.

It was Reese's turn to eat her words. She was not supposed to blabber.

"Nothing, I have to go." Reese stood up to leave.

Avleen followed her to door.

"No! Tell me, who is boy from future?" Avleen asked.

"Missy! You shall sleep. I have to go," Reese escaped.

Avleen's mind started speculating. In hour of darkness, she found a beam of light. Her restlessness could tell the urgency. She needed to know. She couldn't sit, sleep or wait for morning.

Reese opened the door in morning with tray of breakfast. She looked around to find Avleen.

"Oh my Lord!" prayer escaped Reese's throat.

"Missy! What are you doing there?" She ran towards Window.

Avleen was standing on ledge. Her white gown was flowing with wind as if any moment it will fly along.

"Missy! Get off the ledge," Reese insisted.

"I won't," Avleen answered, "Unless you tell me about boy from future."

It was pure trick to make Reese blurt out everything she knows.

"I can't," Reese said, "Why are you doing this?"

"Then I am not getting off the ledge," Avleen asserted, "Anyways what's the point in living this f**king life anymore?"

"No! No! Please hold my hand and come inside," Reese said, "I will tell you what I know."

"You promise?" asked Avleen.

"Yes! I promise. Now please come inside," Reese insisted.

"In your Oak of Island, you people live up to a promise?" Avleen asked.

"We live up to our words. Now! Come in," Reese said.

Avleen got in. Her smile could tell how happy she was.

"I didn't think it would work," Avleen said, "woohoo!"

"It's Isle of Oakland," Reese said.

"What?" asked Avleen.

"A boy appeared few time back. He was not some bosen or foreigner. He traveled from a different time. Like you!" Reese told.

(Bosen Blick are same people who attacked Avleen and Aaron in forest)

Avleen was a devoted listener.

"He was taken as a threat. He was not welcomed of course. Very sweet boy, he lived in town for few days as a civilian. I never saw him though. People tell stories. Some says he is a wizard who can travel between times. Some says he is a spell caster who is sent by bosens. Boy from future had this big clash with royal guards but... " Reese added.

Avleen could see the angst on Reese's face. She was amazed as well as afraid at same time.

"He got caught by guards. He did have a trial where he failed to prove his innocence. We haven't seen the trial. It was held in secret chamber of king," Reese said.

"Scandalous," Avleen said unintentionally.

"I don't know much. That's it," Reese summed up.

"They scammed. Your king and his pets," Avleen said.

"Shhh! don't you dare talk like that for King. It's an offense," Reese said.

Avleen didn't care.

"Tell me, where is he now?" Avleen asked.

"Go jump out of window if you wish to, "Reese said, "I would be executed for disclosing that."

She left the room.

Avleen was left alone with a lot. She had so much to mug up. She sat on her bed and was somewhere relieved that she was not alone in this mess.

"Where he could be? In another tower? Or in prison? Or dead?" she wondered.

She looked down the window. She was kept so up. She couldn't even think of escaping.

Running through narrow lobby was so terrifying. It was dark and suffocating. She ran down numerous stairs. Avleen did see this lobby yet again and that too in 2 days. Dodging Reese was difficult but plan did work. Reese banging door, noise was getting dull with the distance. All Avleen wanted was to meet that boy. He was her only hope.

Covering herself in shawl, she walked carefully. Using gigantic poles to hide herself, she did dodge the guards. Choosing main door to escape, it would be suicide. She ran by the big wall.

"Shit! It's slippery," she said while trying to climb the wall.

Few failures but she did succeed in climbing the big wall. Leap of faith, a big risk to jump off the wall in dark, she made it. But feet didn't touch the ground. She was swinging in middle. A firm grip held her forearm. She looked up and saw the face which had turned curse for her in last few days.

In fraction of seconds, she was pulled back in fort.

"What did you think you can escape? Huh?" asked Aaron.

"You are a real villain of my life dude," said Avleen, "You won't let me live. Will you?"

She was dragged back to tower. Aaron did not show any mercy. His harsh grip made her forearm red. Her white gown was muddy by now. It had wiped all the dirt which Aaron's boots were leaving.

"Leave my hand," Avleen kept saying.

He pushed her inside the room. Avleen did come back with same force and hit him with punches. Her best was mere strokes for him. He kept looking at her.

"If you want to live, don't try to get out of here again?" he said and walked out.

"We will see," Avleen riposted. No one was there to hear her say. He was gone. She had this long night to think all over again.
