Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Sept 8, 2025 Episode Discussion Thread
How ironic that when we say fiction depicts reality, we instead modify it to show what we want, not what we get. They say it right. We see what we want to see...
Her wanting to describe what was there but ending up describing what was there on the scenery showed the escapist attitude we all have...
She had no intentions of completing the story or giving it a proper 'ending' and hence it would remain incomplete as many other stories of hers. But she didn't fail to wonder if the incompleteness was a result of her lack of imagination or insight less boredom or something else, a feeling which made her happy by leaving those stories unfinished.
Anyway I really don't think her leaving a story incomplete is because of her lack of imagination or insight as she thinks. To me she is practical to the point that when the escapist in her makes her write that, the pragmatist rebels and that's why she stops it mid way...
This story was insightful Nammu and I am glad to be the first one to comment :)

Honestly telling,i came on this thread because of your "user name"..As soon i read "crayon", an image of colorful crayon box appeared in my mind..i was expecting this piece to be like that "image"..
First paragraph matched with the image ..I was smiling feeling the happiness of that girl..but second paragraph was like waking up from a wonderful dream...!!! however i loved the "contrast" between two portions...!!!It was beautiful..There was tinge of melancholy in second half and i was intensified more by the "happiness" described{actually imagined} in the first paragraph by writer..!!!Why do I feel you have written the two portions in different mood and different time...???Very beautifully presented and written..!!! would surely read more from you..!!!😊

First thing; to understand Shika's comment I had to first google what pragmatist meant. 🤣
Then I came to know that it is practice->theory->practice. Ok that makes sense to me somehow. I did not understand it completely though. Does a pragmatist mean someone who is too realistic? That they immediately apply any theory they learn to whatever they just see?
Is there some reference book for this? For me to theorize, practice and then try to theorize again? Oh man my brain is getting twisted. Shika ki bacchi, i hate you!
Coming to 'The Window'.
Nammu I feel like kicking your ass man. It is so awesome. This is why I like blogs ma. Blogs have no ending no? It is a continuum.
Shiku one qostin (very very dumb), am i a pragmatist? *hides face in acute embarrassment*
Back to the story, I do not think the girl lacks imagination. The girl is in fact hyper imaginative. If she knew how to draw she would be a cartoonist. A cartoonist I think is a perfect blend of escapism, sarcasm and pragmatism.
@ D and Rangeeli: Uda lo mazak! Mein bhawnaon mein behke apne dil ka reflection dikhaya and what do I get in return?😭
