Okay.. I'll explain.

As I mentioned that Geetika is a CBI officer..so even if she hates it, violence is something she regularly has to come across. So it shouldn't come as a shock if she used her gun.

Moreover, Geetika didn't shoot Sameera as a mother, but as a CBI officer.

And, She didn't shoot her daughter to save her own life. Sameera wasn't mentally stable and had been brought to Mumbai to be treated. But in just a few initial days Sameera killed 2 people and no one, not even Geetika, being her mother, had a doubt on her (remember when Geetika thought of the possible murderers, she didn't think about Sam). When Sameera could think of killing her own mother, she could think of killing, rather, kill, anyone! So obviously, Sameera was a threat to others.

At that time, Geetika may have gotten confused as to what to do and how to behave- as a mother or as a CBI officer, use her brain or listen to her heart. Geetika had mixed feelings and emotions, and to sort it out, she had very less time.

According to you, if Geetika should have done something against the Kashyaps and Arun, then she didn't do it probably because she didn't want anything to happen to Sameera, as, then, this would have been a case where Sameera could have been involved and Geetika didn't want her to indulge in violence or crime world.

Hope I cleared all your doubts..do tell if you have more..😳
