Choreographer of the Week: Chetan and Arun
Sanjeeda and Aamir Ali's choreographers, Chetan and Arun, won the Choreographer of the Week award this week. This is the second time that the duo has won the title. Chetan says that it's nice to see their hard work being appreciated.
"It feels great to win for the second time. It's good to be recognised for the work. Winning was definitely a surprise for us. Since the competition is in the final stages everyone is trying to do something different and take risks so that they stand out. We took a risk too and it worked out really well for us," says Chetan.
This week Sanjeeda and Aamir performed on the popular Dhoom song originally picturised on Hrithik Roshan. But Chetan says that it was a conscious decision to take this song because they wanted to show Aamir in a different light.
"Dhoom is a movie song and when people saw Hrithik dance to it they were amazed because he is very talented and does a fantastic job. It is a difficult song for anyone to dance to and for Aamir to pull it off was a tough job. We wanted him to have his 'wow' moment and feel the pressure so he could do justice to the song. In fact, we had told him he was going to rock and he did. The audience loved the performance and we got a good response," says the tough task master.
Week after week jodi no 7 has continued to impress the judges. Known to work extremely hard during rehearsals Chetan says that it all boils down to giving your 100%. "The training program is quite simple. As soon as the song is ready we teach the couple the steps. They practice for around 3-4 hours a day after warm ups. We have been training them from day one and the different techniques and steps we taught them back then are helping us in this stage of the competition!"
