Hi - after seeing the end of the episode, something else happened - Menaka comes and hears Janki talking to Dharam and how much he loves her and looks after her. Janki is happy. When she finishes, she sees Menaka there who has brought her tea. She asks Menaka to watch Shlok while she goes and washes her hands. Then, Menaka takes Janki's phone and looks at the pictures of the family. She remembers back to how her father brought the proposal for her first, and Menaka turned down the proposal saying that they were two poor and she wanted to marry into a family where she could be waited on and to have servants. She wanted a husband who would make her every dream come true. Her father tries to say that he has made a promise to the family, but she says that he didn't ask her first. This is why Janki was married to Dharam and if Menaka has been patient, she could have had the lavish life that Janki has.

So, it looks like Menaka is jealous and sorry she turned down the proposal.
