I think he meant that he won't be there to entertain you after 2 weeks, but he assures you he will be back. If his assuring you that he will be back, that can only mean his part of season 2. So it's just his way of saying what the articles says. I suppose when we're hearing so much bad news, his comment can be miss interpretated.

By the way he posted this on instagram & later deleted it, as fans were going crazy with questions. Probably realised he sent the wrong signal.
