What's up with today's Judges?

Looked like Ismile Darbar and Lalit Pandit came prepared to publicly insult and belittle everyone today? I know they are judges, but some of these competitors are established singers in their own right, like that Uncle with that niece and Mr. Khadilkar. I don't think they had any idea when they entered this competition that they will be publicly humiliated. Ok so Mr. Khadilkar had an off the cuff comment sometime earlier. But that is done with and the show needs to move on. Today that poor Uncle was not even allowed to complete his sentence by Lalit Pandit. Didn't the Pandit brothers already have a public reconciliation on that recently concluded Amul's kiddie competiton on Star Plus? I am pretty sure they did. So why this de ja vu 😡 😡 😡

I don't see the judges on other shows behaving in this tasteless manner. As a producer Gajjiman should edit out such material from the final broadcast tape. This kind of rubbish only leaves a bad taste. Terrible, absolutely terrible! Gajjiman needs to find some other way to increase his TRP's. This method is very stale, tired, and loathsome. I will stop watching this show effective immediately. 😡😡

I absolutely agree, I found it very tiresome. I watch this show to listen to
good singers, not to listen to this crap. I will admit though that the points
were given correctly, I mean the better singers were generally given better
points, I think. I just wish the comments were about singing and nothing
else. Nice tidbits about the families is okay, but why so much drama?

I will keep watching the show though, because some of the families sing
really well.

Looks like this show has lost all it's credibility and I think Gajji wants to wrap up as quickly as possible ......

This show proved another point ..when the judges r obnoxious and can't respect such esteemed singers ...and the mentor is jatin pandit who is probably telling them to sing in filmy style and was turning every positive comment by the judges ( which was very rare ) into his triumph !!!!! ...like u did exactly the way i told u ....always "i" and 'me' ....As a result how these esteemed singers started in the show and where they have landed now !!!!......My request to Gajji , please don't make mockery of these singers anymore ...They r not ready to cope with these dramas and humiliation to raise TRPS !!!

I had so much hope on this show but I didn't even feel like watching the recorded show today 😕 .....and Lalit pandit ...does he know what the word manners mean ???....and the marks given by the judges at the end !!!!!!!!.... ..and I think no well known reputable classical singers should come in these reality shows anymore .....Humiliation ki bhi ek limit hoti hai ...like what the heck!!!!!!!!!!

BBji, Nupur and Brunoji I had same sentiments today watching the show. I felt judges were inconsistant in judging and giving marks.

Better singing families were given lower marks than not so good singing. Plus reputed singers were insulted like there is no tomorrow. I had so much hope for this show but have lost all respect for GS. Only credit I give him is to bring good singers to the show but than he humilliates them 😡 for what 🤢 😕 😳

i so agree with you because both of the Ali pariwars were given the lower marks and the other pariwar who were mediocre were given the higher points.... kinda wrong

why are the judges being discriminative towards some pariwars

Hello Mrspetlover. I remember you from the first Challenge 2005 competition. You were a Vinit supporter right? Nice to run into you again. You are absolutely right, the only thing Gajjiman does is introduce some real talented singers. However he needs to remember that now a days there are a dime a dozen such shows across the Indian TV channels. Pretty soon, these singers may just start saying thanks but no thank to Gajjiman if he doesn't mend his ways. I hope they do it sooner than later. His "model formula" for the shows he produces is totally outdated. Specially the unnecessary and staged controversies.

Ismile Darbar has not composed music for a single movie since Devdas, so I cannot understand the attitude he displayed today. Jatin and Lalit Pandit too have done nothing significant for a while now, and to be honest they have been rehashing their old tunes for years. Exactly like that line from SRK's Phir Bhi Dil Hain Hindustani title song, "kabhi naye packet mein bachay koi cheez poorani." Someday these people will get hold of their run away egos. Someday! Soon I hope!!!

I agree guys that the judges were so outright rude...i have a feeling that they were asked to be like that by gajji just because previous week jatin felt that the winning families were overconfident .Ismail was mocking Khandvilkars for something that in a way is Tygaraj's fault so that to some extent was not bad.It was jatin who was outright rude to RamShankar. Since the episode beginning was the reunion anyone would have said they are happy to see the duo...if he was not able to take the blessings from eminent singer like Ram Shankar the least he could have done is to have spoken to him nicely to tell him that that topic was not up for discussion and not just call Gajji.

I think they are beating the sur thing way out of proportion. Just as Jatin said may have slipped out of the mouth at the spur of the moment . If they were really that bad then it made sense to bring it back...among the winners they were the top scorer so why bring that up .

I am still at loss as to how they scored whoever Ismail gave highest points Lalit the lowest and vice versa. I am just glad finally the Ghani Ali parivaar were in the top 2 as they totally deserved it...Cannot wait to see tonight what else drama is in store n also preparing myself for a shocker as that is what i am sure i am going to see in this elimination

there is too much ego and bias in the show, which is ruining the show. It started off quite well, but now there are too much prejudices involved for both judges and participants. Also the very older participants get an upper hand since the judges ignore thier mistakes, give them benefit of doubt due to thier age and feel pressured to give them more points than they deserve as a team . The rizvi family was a perect example of this.The oldest family member did not sing that well but praises were showered on him just for participating in the program at that age.
