The family gathers around Vedika, comforting her. Vedant calls the police. They make Vedika sign the FIR.
The nurse discovers that Sid has fled. The reporters go into a flurry. Shreya arrives and wants to kick Sid for his foolishness.
Vikram is in his house, gathering up the things that are lying broken and scattered. Flashback: Vikram is trying to grab hold of Ved who is running amok in the house; he is screaming, "I saved Vasudha in the DRS murder case." From the footage it is evident he is not trying to molest her, only trying to make her stop and listen to him. Finally she pushes him aside and rushes off.
Cut to the present: there is insistent knocking at the door. Vedant barges in with the police, who have an arrest warrant for him. Vedant is blind with rage but Vikram protests his innocence. But the police lead him away anyway. Vedant calls Shreya to tell her the news, doubling her anger against Vikram.
She gets a call from Sid asking her to meet him. In an isolated spot, he asks her if by any chance she has brought her "best friend" Natasha along. She says, she hasn't even returned to the house. Now she will never trust anyone again. Sid says, except me (yeah, yeah, get brainwashed again girl!) He shows her a piece of evidence that proves his innocence.
Vikram and his lawyer are telling the Inspector that on the basis of some random woman's complaint, they can't keep him in lockup. Just then Shreya and Sid arrive saying they have a non-bailable warrant for Vikram, and evidence proving that Sid is innocent. They had gone to the judge to show him the clipping. Shreya shows the inspector the clip on her mobile phone: the same clip of Vikram grabbing Vedika and saying he had tried to save Vasudha. (This proves Sid and Vedika are hand-in-glove….or how did Sid get the video? These two would be the perfect match!😡)
Uttara, who is watching the scene at the house, looks horrified. Shreya comes and accuses her of causing this, as she was the one who wanted Vedika with Vikram. Vasu tells her not to say such things, but Uttara regretfully says it is true, Vedika had come to her for her blessing before going to Vikram, and she had supported her. So it's her fault.
When she comes home looking defeated, Sush soon gets the whole story out of her. He gets upset and says that they (sush and uttara) are equally to blame for her condition. He rushes to the Rai Singhania mansion. Vedika is looking like a ghost. Sush goes and comforts her. Ved says she had gone to take a last bid at happiness; but now, its better that she just die. On hearing this, he gets up and goes to the idol of the goddess. Picking up the chunni and tilak, he puts these on her, ties the sacred thread on her wrist, and says, "Tomorrow we are getting married; anyone who wants to attend can come. But it will be just a social formality since the wedding is as good as done." Saying so, he puts sindoor on Vedika. Shalini and Nani wince. Vasu watches in despair.
Tomorrow: Nani is saying sadly that she never wanted Sush to marry Vedika. Vedant asks why she didn't say so then. She says she didn't want the ill-will of the family. He says, at least you could have saved the family.
