Karan Mehra (Vedant in 'Virrudh', Sony) experienced a strange incident — rather a strange accident the other day. Apparently, Karan was driving his way to the shoot in Lower Parel and was in a hurry.
In his haste to cut through the rush in Andheri, he bumped his car into a pedestrian. The pedestrian's wrist started bleeding. Karan didn't want to leave him unattended.
But he was also getting late for the shoot. So he took him along to the sets so that he could be attended by someone from the production unit.
Karan says, "My driver was late that day and I wasn't feeling well either. I was also getting late for the shoot. In this panic to reach, my car hit this person. His wrist started bleeding. I immediately apologised. Luckily, he didn't get wild at me."
Karan continues, "But he asked me to take him to a nursing home. I didn't know that area too well. So I thought of taking him to the sets.
I was sure that some unit member would be able to attend to him there. I asked him to hop into my car. As I was talking to him on the way, I learnt that he was a mechanic and that his name was Muzmil." Karan adds. "Muzmil and I have become friends. In fact, I have even promised him that I would get my car repaired from him."
Rahul Mehra, executive producer of the show says, "We were surprised to see Karan bringing along a man on our sets. We got him treated, gave him food and some money for medicines. The incident was indeed strange."
