Is she Vasudha's mother? Nothing has been said as to who is Vasudha's mother and Devyani is really concerned about Vasudha! It would be odd since Smriti looks as old as the lady playing Devyani.

Devyani is an employee in Vasudha's father Dhirendra's newspaper Danik Darpan.What past she had with Dhirendra has not been revelaed yet.

Devyani is Vasudha's dad's employee and someone with whom he had an affair. She is not Vasudha's mother as she is shown as a lady who is around Vasudha's age.
