Why is it that vedika is against her own father? And Vasudha isn't? Like how does she know the reality and Vasudha doesn't?

Vedika is againts her father as he didn't let her marry the guy she loved.Vasudha respects her father as she is her illegimate child then 2 he gave her name which acc 2 Vasudha if there was any1 else in his place wud have not done.
