Rohit Roy is clearly getting more and more versatile with time. First it was shift to Bollywood that raised eyebrows among the television fraternity. Yet, the talented personality is not short of throwing surprises to his fans. The latest about Rohit is that he is all set to perform on stage.
The actor will soon find himself opposite none other than Mandira Bedi in a play directed by Ashwin Gidwani. Rohit though will have to wait because Bedi is currently shooting Extra Innings in the West Indies, even though the Indian team is surely back. "Yes, I have been approached for the play opposite Mandira Bedi. This is the first time I will be working with Mandira in a play. I would like to do theatre as its gives me immense creative satisfaction and one can get instant reactions from the audience. Theatre demands a lot of time but is a great medium to experiment with. I am waiting for Mandira to come back so that I can read the script and we can also do a reading together and get ready for the play," says Rohit who is currently shooting for the film Shootout at Lokhandwala.

"I cannot speak about the play yet as I am still working out the details and we are under a contract. By May first week, we plan to finalise everything and start with the rehearsals," says producer Ashwin Gidwani, who last produced Mad about Love and has 13 theatre projects in the pipeline.
Rohit had earlier hosted Extraa Innings with Mandira Bedi on Set Max. So there is a comfort level to begin with and neither will have stage fright. Right?
