NJ! Honestly speaking, they're both amazing! And the plot line came through the scenes really well (although, I did read the description first, so that may be why...). But you could so see Armaan clinging onto every memory, and I loved Riddhima's singing at the end. And as usual with your VMs, the pace of the scenes went perfectly with the music!

Now to which I prefer... For some reason, I always have a bias towards videos without lyrics (unless I'm actually watching them for the lyrics 😛), so I'm going to go for the first one.

But your second one really did cause me to rethink that bias! Something about the way the lyrics flashed up really added to emotion of the song.

But I find it difficult to get over my biases, so the first one it is. 😛

And btw, I hope you had an amazing Christmas! 😃

Gosh, in 1:14 you managed to show the entire plot as your description, I loved it, the song was a perfect pick for the plot, whether you chose the plot and then selected the song or vice versa, it was great :)

lol! it was definitely the vm first, and then the plot... i'm usually never thinking of a concept while making the vm itself... just following the lyrics... but by the time i've watched the scenes like a gazillion times some kind of concept just surfaces! :D

Thanks for the lovely comment Nikhi! I did have a wonderful christmas (at home after a few years) and the holiday is really being 'paisa vasool' with all my cousins getting married/engaged this winter lol!

i'm glad you liked the vm and its coordination with the music as well as the concept... and the scenes really ft the concept, cause i made the vm first with no concept in mind except following the lyrics lol! then i made up the concept to fit the scenes (he he) cause i wasn't sure if it was clear enough just by itself... happy that it worked for the better (always trust writing to make up for alter flaws 😆)

and personally i also prefer vms without lyrics, but yet again, specific to this song, i thought the lyrics weren't distinct, if the song had not been previously heard.... so i just took the chance making both versions... thanks for voicing your preference, it helps for future vms! =)

This VM was done up a couple or so days ago... but I only just managed to log in from my dear good old laptop first time in so many hours... That said, here's the VM, in time for Christmas on a world wide timezone scale 😆

Underlying story: AR were together in a music band (yeh yeh let imagination run wild), then they fell apart when the vocalist, Ridhima, went on to med school (lets assume for her dad's sake). Armaan (the drummer, cause I've always had a thing for drummers in rock bands :D) doesn't deal well with things at all, and ended up getting into med school too (lol, if only med school admissions were such a cake walk in real life!) anyways, so he goes back in part vengeance, and part deep pathos at having parted ways with Ridhima, and overall because he really wants some answers... In the process, he finds himself falling in love with her all over again, and more... for all his vain trying to get over R keeps getting stuck deeper into the mire... [personally, I think that's how it really was even in the show in a different predicament although]...and every moment with her, even the estranged ones, are like moments he clings to, helplessly - the ending is happy, and abrupt too I think, but you can just assume Ridhima starts weakening in her resolve to stay away, or simply cracks up with all her high ideals and comes back to him - 'singing' :P

ps: I first heard this song on a road trip with my girl gang, and for some 20 times or so, annoyed them with getting it played back to back. Just for the heck - cause road trips instill a recklessness, that make you like things out of character, and do things even more so :D

Oh well. It played up on my IPod again, and I decided to make this VM on a whim. Nothing great really...

And never thought of doing a VM on Maaneet? They've seperated a number of times, and had misunderstandings a million times. So how do you think Broken would be for them?

NJ!😃 WOW that was BRLLIANT! The Chris Daughtry 'It's not over' VM, the lyrics were a perfect match to the scene selection and depicted a storyline true the lyrics!!! I am a KaJen fiend hehe, so it was all the more exciting for me to watch hehe <3 Have you per chance listened to Daughtrys other songs 'What about now' and 'feels like tonight' those too are brill songs. Sorry for the late reply. I am actually inactive on IF, studies et al are consuming most my time. I just checked my inbox today after a LONG time give or take 4 months + hehe, so once again sorry for my lateness (now I go back to being MIA hehe). -Hannah

A new VM - just on a whim... I haven't been into my creative groove at all lately, for vidding and writing, but thi one just happened and I'm too happy with whatever breaks the unproductive monotony...

Concept:

first part of the vid is R's POV - AR are in much love. Then suddenly one day, A goes absconding, obviously unannounced, because he realizes he has medical issues (the same reason primarily as in the show, except there are no bullets and terrorists and shootouts involved. nor is there any trace of a character called Sid, sooner or later). R tries to trace him for a while, but ultimately gives up. The phase of her life overcoming his disappearance is dark like an abyss that she can't define, where she all but wallows pining for him. She misses everything - the good and the bad, the love and the fights - and eventually believes resignedly that its all lost.

second part is A's POV - He miraculously recovers and returns. Returns, for her. But realizes she has moved on. Although not in her love life, she has moved on in the sense of accepting to live a half life without him, devoting herself to her work. However, his return marks her with much anguish - reopening old wounds barely healed, while being partly overshadowed by her very hurt indignation at his previous abandoning of all they had. He tries, but she doesn't relent, and he regrets and broods over where fate, and his own mis-decision has brought them.

Last part - they both reconcile. obviously, they are AR remember, LOL! anyways, they get back together, deciding its been enough estrangement and extracting a firm promise to never again say goodbye!

ps: there is a typo in the word 'goodbye' where i use it in the concluding caption - but i was too lazy to fix it, and render and upload it all over again - please bear!
