How you got started on IF: I was a big fan of Swaragini for some reason which I don't understand now. Hence I started participating in discussions here and even used to write FFs.

Fav section on IF: Arpi Di's Highlight Threads which I don't get to read anymore smiley13

Any message to the rest of the member: Not a message, just want to say that IF is a wonderful platform to acknowledge the intense feelings media and entertainment invokes in us. What may not be considered important in our other social structures is celebrated here which makes each one of us feel heard. This is great from a mental health POV. I hope this forum continues to stay away from toxicity. Nazar na lage, thu thu thu 🧿

NeiVika - Their chemistry is fire. They have the potential to be the next power couple but Swastik hi nahi chahta aisa ho smiley8

KabIka - I saw a spark between these characters. But I wouldn't want to pair them because the age difference is crazy.

Bhidur - They could have been a great example of best friends, without any romantic angle, but again, potential lost. The makers could have explored an adorable dynamics between Prem Bhumi and Vidur in past.

RuJay - There was a time when I thought they should be given importance, but now I hate DJ and I hope Ruhi is able to break the shackles of this abusive marriage.

KarVika - smiley11

SimJay - Simone's character had no spine. She portrayed herself as an independent women but was really a greedy one. Plus SimJay scenes really disgusted me.

SimChu - Ehh.

chalo let's begin with something basic...

Your favourite food: Punjabi cuisine, mainly chole bhature, dal makhani, and all sorts of paneer.

Favourite holiday destination: Any place with quite beaches.

Tea or coffee: Coffeee

Now,

1. What is happiness to you?

Dopamine release in the brain? smiley36JK my happiness lies with my loved ones.

2: What are the things you value most in any relationship?

Respect, Honesty, and Open Communication.

3: What is your biggest strength?

I think it has to be empathy and kindness.

4: Your favourite book.?

Hard to pick one book, but if I had to, I'll say I Will Go With You by Priya Kumar. This book brought me back on the spiritual path that my soul seeks.

5: How psychology helps you to become better as an individual & in your relationship? Does studying psychology makes you a better human being ?

Honestly, when you deal with/ read about hundreds of people who reel with the same kind of issues, you tend to become numb to their suffering rather than being kind. Psychology challenges me to keep my core values intact, which are also the most important values any MHP must have that is empathy.

6: What drives you to work towards pursuing your passion everyday?

The countless people who die by suic*de everyday. These deaths give me heart ache and I really want to work to help people relieve their mental suffering.

7: Which popular trend of ITV you like the most & you hate the most?

What I like is that ITV stories give voice to stories of countless women, and also inspire countless women. This industry is run dominantly by women and here the female stars have a similar pull that Bollywood's male stars do.

What I hate is again related to this. They make their stories in such a way that despite the industry being women dominated, majority of it's stories cater to alpha men and women fighting over some funky looking guy.

8: Do you think ITv idea of feminism is misplaced?

YESSS. As I said above. There are very few shows who actually take this concept serious. In Bade 2, Ram Kapoor was a feminist man and I love him dearly. The show wasn't, but Ram definitely was. And such characters are rarer than an asteroid hitting earth. smiley36

9: Are you liking VANSHAJ these days? State with reason...

I like that the story has finally picked momentum. It was boring to see Yuvika always winning with her speeches. But I am not very fond of the screenplay. I hate when episodes stretch beyond requirement.

I am looking forward to Yukti's entry and her dynamics with everyone though. Reminds me of IMMJ.

10: Which old TV show(s) need a rerun today for its/their progressive content?

Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai hands down. This one was a masterpiece that aired 20 years ago. The way they have subtly threaded sarcasm in humor is amazing. They talk about many social issues without being preachy. And you will always have a good laugh watching this show!

11: Lastly...Kabir ki taarif me do bahut saare sabd bol do please...smiley37

Ufff Kabir Oberoi! smiley42I was honestly scared about his cameo, but Kabir kept his class intact. The best part of this character was that it came in with a genuine purpose and left when the purpose was fulfilled, unlike some other cameos. Kabir's back story, his poetry, that surprise in his eyes when Yuvika was nice to him, all these made me really curious about his character and what really did happen to him. Really loved his character!

I am not done yet...Lots & lots of love..smiley27

Dhyan de health ka chup chap smiley14

Jokes aside congratulations saumya di smiley40

Ok

1) why you choose to study psychology

I have struggled with anxiety and depression for a long time. The first therapist I consulted was unethical and left me with a bad experience. This happened when I was in 10th. Itne mushkil se parents ko convince kiya for therapy uspe bhi aisi nikli bandi. That is when I decided that I want to know more about this profession. And as I got to know more, I fell in love with Psychology and this noble profession.

2) By studying psychology do you think someone can understand what anyone is really thinking in their mind

Nope. Not possible to read minds. But you do start analysing people's behaviour and start looking for possible explanations of the same.

3) which subject you used to love in your school period

I enjoyed solving Maths in school.

4) Do you miss your school days and friends ( asking this as I am sure I will start missing them soon smiley19)

Yess alot! I was very active in school. I miss my school teachers, the bus journeys and everything. But we do meet time and again. Not the same but still it's always fun.

5) Are you still watching vanshaj in a daily basis + do you feel like it's interesting and the reason

I do watch it but on fast forward mode. smiley36

6) Favourite character in vanshaj ( reason too )

Isha. She's the only realistic one at this point. Baaki sabka character assassination ho gya hai.

7) least favourite character in vanshaj( reason too )

Arjun. Reason batana hoga kya?

8) for whom you feel bad in vanshaj -

Vidur Uncle.

9) Do you think someone should be like Neil in a relationship

Definitely. But a character like Neil deserves to be loved and cherished equally. I believe relationships are made of suppliments. You have to suppliment each other, the efforts can be 10-90, 70-30, and 50-50 but it should be from both sides. No one person should be giving more all the time. That is when you have a healthy and long relationship.

10) Do you watch football ( please bol do haa dekhti hu smiley6)

No. smiley6 But my cousins are big fan of football. One is a major Ronaldo fan and the other worships Messi.

If yes then a) your favourite player ( reason )

b) favourite team

c) least favourite team

11) A controversial one

Mahabharata or Ramayan which gives more lessons in our life what's you opinion on this

In today's time, Mahabharat gives me more lessons personally. It teaches the path of Dharma when the ones you're fighting against are close to you. Honestly it is comparatively easier to fight against wrong when it is somebody who doesn't matter to you.

But taking the side of truth, not caring if the other person is your loved one, is difficult. Because you're not just fighting them, you're also fighting your own fears, insecurities, and your own love for them.

Hence for me, Mahabhart gives more lessons.

Ramayan teaches me about my duties, Mahabharat tell me how to follow my duties.
