Aww... Congratulations... Saumya..
Badhai ho badhai ho...
chalo let's begin with something basic...
Your favourite food: Punjabi cuisine, mainly chole bhature, dal makhani, and all sorts of paneer.
Favourite holiday destination: Any place with quite beaches.
Tea or coffee: Coffeee
Now,
1. What is happiness to you?
Dopamine release in the brain?
JK my happiness lies with my loved ones.
2: What are the things you value most in any relationship?
Respect, Honesty, and Open Communication.
3: What is your biggest strength?
I think it has to be empathy and kindness.
4: Your favourite book.?
Hard to pick one book, but if I had to, I'll say I Will Go With You by Priya Kumar. This book brought me back on the spiritual path that my soul seeks.
5: How psychology helps you to become better as an individual & in your relationship? Does studying psychology makes you a better human being ?
Honestly, when you deal with/ read about hundreds of people who reel with the same kind of issues, you tend to become numb to their suffering rather than being kind. Psychology challenges me to keep my core values intact, which are also the most important values any MHP must have that is empathy.
6: What drives you to work towards pursuing your passion everyday?
The countless people who die by suic*de everyday. These deaths give me heart ache and I really want to work to help people relieve their mental suffering.
7: Which popular trend of ITV you like the most & you hate the most?
What I like is that ITV stories give voice to stories of countless women, and also inspire countless women. This industry is run dominantly by women and here the female stars have a similar pull that Bollywood's male stars do.
What I hate is again related to this. They make their stories in such a way that despite the industry being women dominated, majority of it's stories cater to alpha men and women fighting over some funky looking guy.
8: Do you think ITv idea of feminism is misplaced?
YESSS. As I said above. There are very few shows who actually take this concept serious. In Bade 2, Ram Kapoor was a feminist man and I love him dearly. The show wasn't, but Ram definitely was. And such characters are rarer than an asteroid hitting earth.
9: Are you liking VANSHAJ these days? State with reason...
I like that the story has finally picked momentum. It was boring to see Yuvika always winning with her speeches. But I am not very fond of the screenplay. I hate when episodes stretch beyond requirement.
I am looking forward to Yukti's entry and her dynamics with everyone though. Reminds me of IMMJ.
10: Which old TV show(s) need a rerun today for its/their progressive content?
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai hands down. This one was a masterpiece that aired 20 years ago. The way they have subtly threaded sarcasm in humor is amazing. They talk about many social issues without being preachy. And you will always have a good laugh watching this show!
11: Lastly...Kabir ki taarif me do bahut saare sabd bol do please...
Ufff Kabir Oberoi!
I was honestly scared about his cameo, but Kabir kept his class intact. The best part of this character was that it came in with a genuine purpose and left when the purpose was fulfilled, unlike some other cameos. Kabir's back story, his poetry, that surprise in his eyes when Yuvika was nice to him, all these made me really curious about his character and what really did happen to him. Really loved his character!
I am not done yet...Lots & lots of love..
