here is my 2 rupees ka opinion on episode 129:
jitne swag se yeh log nikle hain, utne swag se maine khabhi class bhi nahi bunk ki
But I like how they all exited the house in white because it symbolised peace, honesty and beginnings. The nagars are finally at peace because Prem got justice and their goal has been achieved. His soul can finally rest. Through this journey, they didn't lose their honesty and were always true to their mission, for the most part. This was supposed to be their new beginning as a family of 4 piecing their lives back together in Rishikesh as Prem lives on with them spiritually. The flashback of the nagars first coming into the Mahajan house brought out the antithesis of the start and end of their journeys beautifully. Blue (isha), blue (Bhoomi), yellow (yuvika), and pink (Arjun) were the colours they wore on that day. Blue represents stability and reliability which Bhoomi and Isha both exemplified thus far because they were dependable and well-grounded support systems to yuvika. Yellow represents both cowardice (people's perception of Yuvika until she proved them wrong) and hope/happiness (what Yuvika has and is for her family). Although not a fan favourite, pink is the colour for compassion and comfort that Arjun provides to Yuvika. The colours, despite being an indicator of who they were meant to be in this modern retelling of Mahabharat, were all different because they themselves were not on the same page. So I found the fact that they walked out in white a powerful display of their unity and strength as a family who have finally come together as one.
The stock pricing falling and becoming national news was such a ROFL moment. Itni chaldi kaise bhai?
I liked the cute family moments at the bus stop. it was such a nice break away from all the dramatic high points of the previous episodes. But why did they sell the cafe in Rishikesh when they needed to go back anyway?
Neil's bonding with them was also a sight to behold. Isha is the captain of the NeiVika ship and nobody can convince me otherwise. Loved how she kept teasing Yuvika. "Hamesha good girl banne ki zaroorat nahi hain"
The busstop conversation has my whole heart. It was so soft, intimate and mature. There were no loud declarations of grand actions. They were just two adults who had feelings for each other and other obligations because of the roles they play in other people's lives (son, daughter, sister, working adults) trying to figure it out together. Yuvika, a person who has been deceived repeatedly by her own blood, was so honest and raw with him - an indicator of how much she trusted him and how she held him in such high regard. That is the base of their whole relationship. She straight up asked him to wait for her because this wasn't the end and she just needed time. That was very realistic considering everything they've been through. They spoke so few words but managed to convert a mountain of feelings and thoughts through their gestures (the way Yuvika covered his mouth). I find their mutual understanding the best part about their whole dynamic and relationship. Neil knows that Yuvika has responsibilities to her family and he is willing to share said duty with her. He just wants to be a part of her world and give her the best of his. He might have been upset, scared even, that she was leaving but he acknowledges the 'why' behind her choice. Above all, he respects her choice and Yuvika as a person. Handholding is their love language and there is something so endearingly genuine about it that I can't put into words. The way Neil came to stand beside her and gripped her hand as a reassurance that he understood where she was coming from was beautiful. All in all, I appreciate how slow they are going with their love story and how naturally its growth has come across. Mohit and Anajli, take a bow.
This was also the first time I really paid attention to their background score and I absolutely adore its whistle version. It's so soothing.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Diwali is celebrated because this was the day Sita and Ram returned to Ayodhya after defeating Ravan. Hence, the fireworks going off right after their conversation ended and the 5 of them celebrating Diwali together becomes a significant scene. They fought, they lost some battles, they cried, and blood was shed but, at the end of the day, they won the war.
And they were going home
Such a nice review....do give a review for ep 138
Hai na...
Such a beautiful review of such a beautiful episode..
Glow in Yuvika's face when she saw Neil was soo beautiful...
Neil's involvement with Nagars was
The bus station confession was beautiful in so many ways...they did not need to say I love you they knew it..such old school...the conversation was way deeper than any I love you..
It was indirect and direct in so many ways..mature conversation...
". Zimmedari saath rehke bhi nibhayi Jaa Sakti hai..." It has to be the most decent and dignified proposal....
End me he stood beside her and held her hand..both looked at eachother...a look of reassurance... silent commitment..
Bittersweet but soo beautiful
