I remember having additional Mahabharata book to read during my 5th grade as a part of value education class....that book had 80% accuracy with original MB ( this was back in 2011) unfortunately i lost that book after 6th grade 😟

sorry for the info you are not interested in but my history keeda can’t remain quiet after seeing some historical stuffs, once they were criticising Indian civilisation on YT so I told about the glorious stuffs of IVC and one user said Don’t come here after watching MohenjoDaro🤣

It won’t be, I have read that they removed Mughal history from the syllabus and has added regional history of that era, and they will add MB and Ramayan after the elections I guess

I am OK with MB Ramayana in Hindi/regional language, but adding it in history makes no sense

We don't even know if those are historical events. I am even not in favour of Buddha and Mahavira inclusion in history

History should only have stuff for which we have evidence

Mughals exclusion too was a wrong step. They could have instead stopped their glorification and showed what atrocities invaders did

P.S. I doubt they are winning elections either

Thankfully in my case my grand mother used to tell me the stories of Ramayana Mahabharata. Although they were not correct as per the text, but I got to know lot about it and slowly got intersted to read the stuff myself.

Once I said in my house that Karna ordered for Vastraharan for Draupadi and my cousins announced that he didn't even like this order of Duryodhan
