My reviewL The Necklace Episode

The way I assess whether an episode is good or not is simple. I ask myself "Is this worth watching again?". If yes, then it is indeed a good episode. If not, well...you can fill in the blanks. Guess what? This episode is worth watching not once, not twice but several times .

Suspense, excitement, comedy. All were there. From making us wonder where that ugly necklace went, we are now wondering how Vani knew about it. Cant wait for tomorrow's episode.

Excitement. Waiting for that twisted little madam to confront Vani, wondering where she had the gumption to talk to her MIL like that. But she is shameless, as her parents - her mother, instead of feeling guilty at lowering herself to do such a mean trick, was humiliated at being caught out. Her father, instead of chastening his wife and daughter for doing something dirty and underhanded, tells them to try again. I actually clapped when PD2 came out. I loved it! Please continue to tarture PG. (punnaku gumbal) 😆

I feel that 6Face suspecting his wife is an opening for Kali to come back.

I am now wishing for 1 hr VR😆

My review: THE LION AND THE PIG

KarPoo back!!! ❤️A bout time. Stage is set for drama on Monday when Thatha finds out what had happened. I hope Karthi tells the truth to everyone. I know VR team will deal with this asap. Poignant moment with the two young characters. No words were spoken but the expressions on their faces and their eyes spoke volumes. 😭

Sorry to say this but I am no longer interested in Rani and her story. The only redeeming factor is Thenu and to an extent, Saravana. I am not interested in an ungrateful, selfish, unreasonable person who has spoilt all the good opinions I have had of her and who has given sisterly love and bond between twins a bad name. I was waiting for redemption but the nonsensical reasons she gave to Thatha were crap and unacceptable. Everything she said then made everything else she said before a lie and a fiasco. And I cant respect a woman who runs away in the middle of the night without informing her heavily pregnant daughter. (I keep hoping that Ranima will wake up one day and tell everyone she had a psychological problem and that is why she behaved the way she did or Anaconda threatened to kill Vani if Rani did not leave her sister under nasty circumstances. LOL)

The house owner has a point though although she did behave rather rudely. You cant simply put up a shack and start a business without her consent. It is her property. Not only it is rude but it is illegal too. It was presumptuous of Rani and Swamy.🤢

Now my favourite part. 👏 Majestic Lioness ripped that little pig apart with short sharp words. She was just spot on. Mixture of pity, sarcasm and slightly shimmering anger 👏. Loved her reference to Surya. And Surya standing there looking guilty and embarrassed. I hope the decent Surya of old surfaces and deals with Pimple strictly and without mercy. And Anaconda. .she will never learn..blaming Pimple. No honour among thieves. So it was Vani who found out about the necklace.

My review: MAKE FOOD, NOT WAR! (as opposed to make peace not war)

Well, apparently the old adage "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" applies to women too. Ah, what an idiot the house owner is. Screaming like a banshee and then purring like a rusi kanda poonai. Kavuthu vittitiye Nithyasri. No wonder Thenu, Saravanan and Swamy were smiling. We should send Rani to United Nations. She can replace Ban and resolve world issues that have not been resolved since time immemorial. Reconcile the Arabs and the Israelis over a meal of 8 dosas. OK, I am being uncharitable here but very difficult for me to sympathise with her right now. Rani, Rani, what have you done to me? From wishing I had a chitti like you, I am now thanking God my sister is not like you. LOL. It is ok, folks, I am well aware that this is just a serial so please don't suggest a couch for me. ;) Yet.

Malathi...oh God, enough already. Another character transplant...where did the temper and defiance come from? Two extremes. From a crybaby to a screaming one. I don't understand why she is rude to St. Selvi...but you know what, serves that moron right. If ever you find St.Selvi's brain, please return it to her. How would you recognise it? Easy. It would be clean and polished and brand new. Because she hardly uses it.

KarPoo - the fireworks did not happen as I expected but it was lovely to see both of them again. Rajkumar Manoharan won Ajanta Award recently for his portrayal of Karthik and well he deserves it. Though many of us more or less are able to predict where this story is going, don't be surprised if there is a surprise, because this is Vani Rani who continuously gives us new twists. However, if it goes the way we think it will go, once again, be ready with big box of tissues because Maha has become a powerhouse where emotional scenes are concerned and Rajkumar has now joined her. Thank you VR team for putting together a dynamic and charismatic young duo for an intense and no doubt heartwrenching story. Poongodi was adorable when she said she wants to go back to Bangalore. More of KarPoo please!

Also looking forward to seeing how Kali is going to deal with Sura. I'd like a big story for Sura too so that Sangeetha can do something different and show us what she is capable of.

I really appreciate VR. Every time I wander off into other serials, I come out screaming in horror and then I watch VR and all is well again. Thendral and Chandralekha - I manage to watch in 10 mins. Vamsam and Deivamagal - I avoid like the plague.

Vani Rani is not perfect but it is damn close!

My review: Sundari, sonal oru sethi

Rani..Rani..I cant resist your smile..I had to smile with you at the end. But looks like you dont miss your sister at all. Can you please show a couple of moments of sadness? XRay..hahaha..

Xray...paatinga ..punnaku network. LOL. Todays episode was peppered with witticisms like that.But intha kilaviyin attam thanga mudile pa. Girijaaa...where are you?

I love PD2. When Pimple's parents were talking, I was observing PD in the background and laughing. He was funny. 1 know he is a despicable charates and ordinarily I would despise him but the Punnaku Gumbal deserve him and much more. I am hoping that he will use the information he got by eavesdropping will be put to good use by torturing the Old Witch and the Punnaku Gumbal and the heiress to the empire, the Princess Punnaku.

Scene at Kali's house was touching. I cried a bit, not because of Kali pleading but because of Sundari's emotional outburst, telling them all she went through, the pain, the hurt and the humiliation..that was a heart rending scene. St. Selvi tried to do good once again but her MIL didnt cooperate.

Karthik, tell her the truth. Please.

My review: Love is patient, love is kind. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I am glad that the secret is out but that it was exposed to Mano was something I did not expect. That was a nice little touch. The two men showed an understanding and bonding that was sweet and rather nice to see. It was specially touching at the last shot when both of them walked off with Mano's arm around his son-in-law. Things like this are usually ignored or taken for granted.

Poongodi looked really sweet. Yes, Poongodi did not die but losing the ability to give birth is something that is serious and shattering, especially in our community where a woman is judged (still) on her fecundity. More so Poongodi who after such a harrowing time, first with Saravanan and then with Karthik, was finally settled in life and looking forward to the next phase of her life - that of being a mother. I just hope that when she finds out she would react with the strength and intelligence that she has - the maturity to accept that things do happen, that Life does not come to an end, that there are women worse off than her, that she has so many things going for her, especially a loving, supporting husband who is willing to do anything for her and that there are many beautiful helpless children who are dying for Love. Karthik's fear that she can't handle it must be proven exaggerated and unfounded.

6Face. Hahahaha. Today's comment of the day - Professional Ethics. I used to dislike him but now I look forward to his appearance - I need to listen to his dialogues carefully because you can bet that he has hidden gems there. His facial expressions are so dramatic. Poor guy gets chased off. Hahahaha. Thank God Malathy was not there - ungrateful woman with selective amnesia. St. Selvi deserves such ingratitude. I just hope the unborn child does not inherit her brains even though it is nice and shiny.

Thenu was cute and natural. Little Motor Mouth is precocious - and is refreshing. I had to laugh at some of the comments she made. Enjoyed her moments with her mother; really nice.

Savithiri has become a vegetable thirudi. Is she a klepto?

And special mention must be given in honour of our director Ramakchandran sir, who made yet another appearance as Kumar. The Punnakku Network is super fast and super effective!! Kumaruuu, neengale pottu kooduthingala? Sigh. Wonder what the Anaconda will do now. I hope someone stops her. Have had enough of her treachery. Prabu Deva II, can you please please do something?

Although today's episode is not fast paced, I dont feel it is boring. There are always things to appreciate and note even if the story is not fast. Acting, dialogues, small touches. The pace must be slow before it picks up.
