Vani Rani - Episode 322 (Friday, 11^th April 2014)

Hi friends, sorry for the delay in posting the update, I had to put in a full 9am - 6pm work day today. *sigh*

Written Update

Episode starts with MOM being shown in hospital, unconscious, with oxygen mask and saline drip while a doctor is standing beside him jotting notes in his records. Mano, Karthik, Megala and Balu are shown waiting anxiously outside MOM's room. Balu tells Karthik he cannot accept that Poo told MOM the truth in spite of knowing it may lead to his death. Megala praises MOM for his good heart in changing himself to accept Poo-Karthik's wedding and blames Poo for killing MOM with her words. Balu says Poo has betrayed MOM and questions what she has accomplished by doing this as her love has still failed. Balu calls Poo shameless and Megala agrees saying Poo doesn't know what a married woman can say and do. Mano cries as he stands away from them and listens to the conversation. Megala says she will never forgive Poo if anything happens to MOM. Doctor comes out and tells them that MOM is out of danger and they can visit him in an hour. Karthik tells Megala to forgive Poo as MOM is now safe and not to curse her for his sins as he is the one who lied to them that Poo agreed to the wedding. Megala cries.

Megala comes from MOM's room and tells Mano to go and see MOM as MOM would want to speak to him. Mano is reluctant but Megala convinces him. Mano apologises to MOM for his selfishness in ruining Poo-Karthik's lives because he wanted MOM back in his life. MOM tells Mano the fault is actually his as he had not accepted Mano-Jyoti which ultimately led to this mess. Mano cries but MOM tells him it's their responsibility to rectify the problems caused by their mistakes. Mano says Poo will not listen to him and she has lost all respect for him. MOM asks Mano what if he talks to Poo and asks Mano to bring Poo to see him.

In MOM's house, SK and Jyo are giving a good dose to Poo for what she did. Poo tells them off and asks them to leave before she kills them. Sk and Jyo shift the blame to Sara saying he did not have the guts to marry Poo and he is no better than them and should be the one to blame. Poo asks SK what sort of person she is and tells them to leave immediately. Jyo says where can they go and what if anything happens to MOM, how will she face him now. Poo asks if they are waiting for the dead body to be brought back to pay their respects. (Poo crossed a line here, I'm disappointed by this dialogue.) Jyo tells her to shut up and Poo replies as long as SK and Jyo shut up, she will too. She asks them to go home and cry and to leave her alone and says nothing will happen to MOM. Megala calls Jyo to tell her MOM is alright and asks her to bring Poo to visit MOM. SK and Jyo tell Poo that it's ok if she doesn't want them to accompany her but to make sure she goes and visits MOM as it's a miracle that he survived. They leave while Poo stands there thinking.

Jyo and Poo come to the hospital, Balu turns his face away from them while Megala silently shows Poo the way to MOM's room. Karthik is sitting beside MOM, Mano leaves the room when Poo enters and Karthik stands away in a corner. Poo wakes MOM and tells him this is because of her but he replies it's also because of him. MOM tells Poo to let it go as no point discussing the past now that things have gone out of hand. Poo tells his she loves him and MOM says he knows and it is that anger that burst out as rage. He tells her what would she do as her parents themselves have stood against her. He tells her it is his fault for not asking her personally if she was agreeable to marry Karthik as she had told him she loves Sara. He says this attack is his punishment and Poo apologises. MOM tells Poo everyone makes mistakes then tries to rectify the mistakes, that is human nature, but for his age, he could not stand the shock of what happened. He tells Poo he loves Karthik a lot and because he found Poo an even better person, that was why he wanted Poo to marry Karthik. Karthik tries to stop Mom from talking further but MOM persists. MOM tells Poo some things in life happen whether or not they want it to as God decides everyone's fate and they have to succumb to it. Mom asks Poo if she loves him and wants him to live happily for a few more years. MOM says it's his duty to ask her permission for everything now as penance for arranging her marriage without her consent. Poo asks him to get well soon and come home but MOM tells her the body only becomes ill when the mind is unhappy. MOM tells Poo if she agrees to live happily with Karthik, all his sickness will fly away. MOM tells Poo one mistake cannot be rectified with another and Karthik is her husband in this lifetime and she needs to understand that. MOM tells Poo if she and Karthik live happily together, then he can die in peace. MOM tells Poo Kathik loves her a lot and even drank poison for her, and that is why he agreed to get them married. MOM tells Poo Karthik must not think it would have been better for him to have died after drinking the poison. MOM asks Poo to agree but she tells him to get well soon first as she is afraid something may still happen to him again. MOM says he will be fine and nothing will happen to him. Poo tells him to take rest and leaves while Karthik watches her leaving and MOM watches Karthik. Thodarum.

Overall, a disappointing episode as everyone is still trying to corner Poo but good to see that true to her characterization, she didn't cave in to the emotional blackmail by MOM. Let's wait and see what's next for this twisted tale of love and turmoil. Once again, my apologies for the delay in posting the update today.

Vani Rani - Episode 323 (Saturday, 12^th April 2014)

Written Update

Episode starts with Anaconda coming to Rani's house and yelling at Rani and Swami. She blames Sara for the havoc created by Poo and for MOM's heart attack. Rani defends Sara. Anaconda tells them Mano is torturing Jyoti for Poo spoiling her life and if anything happens to MOM, Mano will leave Jyoti permanently, and if that happens, she will not forgive them for it. She tells them to do something and to start by meeting MOM and getting him home safely. She threatens them that if anything happens to him, she will not leave them alone and leaves. Rani polambals while Swami tries to pacify her. Rani leaves to inform Vani while Swami stands looking upset and thoughtful.

Vani and Rani come to the hospital. They ask Megala how is MOM and she tells them he is alive and she does not know how to face him once he comes home. Anaconda tries to pour petrol on fire but Vani shuts her up. Megala tells them MOM is out of danger but they have to take care of him carefully now onward as he cannot take any shock. Vani tells her MOM will be fine now onward as what bigger shock can possibly come his way than what has already happened. Megala questions Vani Rani for not informing her that Poo had never agreed to the wedding. Vani tells her to question Poo's parents and asks Mano to answer. Mano looks guilty and tells them he didn't expect any of this to happen. Vani tells him off for not giving Poo the life she wanted and not being able to convince Poo to live the life he chose for her. Jyoti tries to defend Mano and says even though Poo is at fault, all the blame has come to her. Anaconda tells her not to cry and says Sara is the cause for everything and he should have run away much earlier. Vani tells her to shut up and leave instead of blaming others.

Vani and Rani meet MOM. MOM tells them he is old and God keeps giving him these small shocks instead of taking his life at one go. He says it's better to die than to experience the shock of Poo's words. Vani tells him they can only try to convince her, what more can they do. MOM asks them why didn't they tell him the truth and stop the wedding. Rani says they were afraid he wouldn't be able to take the shock but MOM tells them he has learnt that he can handle any shock and survive as he is still alive after hearing Poo's words. Vani tells him to think of it from their point of view, how could they stop the wedding he had planned with so much hope. MOM tells her all those hope have gone to waste as Poo has refused to live with Karthik and is still thinking of Sara. Rani tells MOM she had tried so hard to advise Poo but to no avail. MOM tells her she should have informed him as Karthik and Sara are both his grandsons and he would have gotten Poo married to Sara instead. Vani Rani look at him in shock. Vani tells MOM no point talking of the past, as Sara was prepared to sacrifice his love for the good of everybody. MOM asks her what's the point as Poo has asked for a divorce and questions Vani is that the gift Poo had asked from her. Rani looks shocked to hear this while Vani assures MOM she has strictly said no to Poo. MOM tells her that in front of love, all else loses and they will not understand that as they have never fallen in love. Rani asks him how can they leave things be and MOM agrees saying they have to make Poo understand. Vani tells MOM she believes Poo can be convinced and MOM tells them both to speak to Poo as their words carry more weight than her parents' words to her. Vani Rani assure MOM that they will speak to Poo and sort everything out.

Vani Rani bring Poo aside. Rani tells Poo she can treat her parents as she wishes but why drag Sara into the fray when all he ever did was think of what's best for her and her family, is this her way of repaying him for his sacrifice. Vani questions Poo if she understands the situation in which Rani is in at the moment. Vani asks Poo if she realizes that nobody even thought to ask what happened to Sara and how can he go up against such a selfish group of people who couldn't care less about him or his family and their sufferings. Rani tells Poo loving Sara is her problem but being married to Karthik and still proclaiming to love Sara is the whole family's problem. Vani tells Poo to forget about the reasons she couldn't marry Sara and think of the consequences of her actions on her family. Rani tells Poo to think of the consequences to herself and the shame she is courting by asking for a divorce. Rani points out that people will also drag Sara's name in the fray and his reputation will also be damaged. Vani questions Poo if her conscience will leave her alone as Sara sacrificed to make her live but she is ruining Karthik's life with her stubbornness and what right has she got to talk of anyone else's fault when she herself is at fault. Rani tells Poo it's easy to go against everyone but how will she live alone. Vani tells Poo she knows Poo has already arranged for divorce through another lawyer and getting a divorce is easy but life is difficult and is this what all of them are fighting for. Rani questions Poo if she didn't need court to decide her marriage, why ask court to end her marriage, why not ask her father to end her marriage for her. Rani points out that only while everyone cares for her can Poo be stubborn but the moment they get fed up with her, Poo will be left all alone. She points out that there was only one reason for Poo to want Sara but there were hundreds of reasons for Sara to reject Poo. She tells Poo that for Poo only Sara is important but for Sara, the whole family is important, and how can Poo fault that when she does not know what hardship is. Rani tells Poo she has only been crying for this one thing, but Sara has been crying almost every day of his life. Episode ends on Vani, Poo and Rani's faces. Thodarum.

Vani Rani Friday Apr 18th -Episode 327 Written Updates

Rajesh prepares hot water and brings to his room and tells Selvi to dip her legs, to get the warmth..Selvi tells that she never told him that her legs are paining..Sura tells Selvi that Rajesh has become mad and is not even bothered to go for Savari..Rajesh says that taking care of Selvi is more important..He gives some tips through books, written by various persons about pregnency(Build up koncham too mucha irukke..)..Selvi tells Rajesh that if she gives birth to a boy, then it needs to be like Rajesh and if it is a baby girl, it has to be like Sura..Rajesh questions her that why she never told that the child has to resemble her mother, Selvi says that in the universe, nobody can be like her mother, Rajesh tells her that her perimma is same as her Mum, Selvi tells that both are not different from each other..Rajesh tells her that unlike the sisters, we need to prove that nobody can be a good husbund and wife unlike us..Selvi lies on Rajesh's lap, and says that she loves him..Sura is all glee outside prays God that they both need to live happily for the entire life(Something in store for us)

Karthik comes and enquires Poo that whether she trust him so much that she did not want to go along with her father..Poo surprised..Karthik says atleast to maintain her confidence, he shall bring back Sara and unite her with him..Poo says the reason behind her not leaving with her father is thatha..Just because she broke open the truth he felt sick..so she needs to be with thatha and take utmost care of him..Karthik says to keep the divorce papers carefully, as thatha will come and check it first..Karthik leaves and Poo stands(Looks like the stage is set for Poo-Karthik)..

Bhoomi comes home, and Vani enquires about the forest around Villupuram and Tindivanam, and notices that he is abnormal..Bhoomi tells about Devi's thiruvillayadal..Vani tells to check everything and find out the damages occured so far..

Rani comes to Vani's home and tells Vani to to ring up to Saravanan..Vani and Surya shell shock..Vani tells Rani to tell her the matter so that she can update to Saravanan..Rani says that she can understand and tells that Selvi is pregnant(Guys..its a must watch segment, no updates can do justice to Rani's acting)..She says that we need to go as a family to Selvi's house and leaves..Vani cries to Surya that her sister beleives her so much and she needs to be in tact to that..

Vani Rani - Episode 328 (Saturday, 19^th April 2014)

Hi friends, I'm back once again with the written update of another dhamakedar (read: rocking good) episode.

Written Update

Episode starts with Malathy's daughter lying down on the sofa coughing away. Sura who sees this goes in search of Malathy and finds her doing the laundry. She tells Malathy off for trying to make a place for herself in the house by getting involved in the household work. She forbids Malathy from calling her periyamma and reminds her that she is only there on Selvi's request. She sends Malathy off to check on her daughter and tells her there is money on the fridge for her to buy the girl medication. Malathy looks touched by this.

Karthik and his parents bring Mom home and a happy and excited Poongodi is waiting to welcome him with an aarathi. She tells Mom she has vowed to tonsure Karthik's head to give thanks for Mom's recovery. Once inside, Poo tells them she has done all the housework and the cooking in anticipation of Mom's return. She offers to serve lunch but Mom says he is not hungry. Megala asks Poo to take Mom in to rest.

In Mom's room, he questions Poo if she is really happy or acting happy. Poo tells him he should know she cannot hide her feelings and she is genuinely happy that he is back. Mom tells Poo his true happiness is in her and Karthik being happy together. Poo looks taken aback for a moment but quickly recovers and tells Mom to rest and she'll come to get him when lunch is served.

Rani is conducting prayers in Sura's house to bless Selvi and Rajesh. Whole family looks very happy together. Arumugam introduces himself to them with a big build up while Selvi tells them he is Malathy's husband. He tells them Malathy has taken the daughter to temple to pray for Selvi. Rani tells them to think of her as the host and them as the guests in their own home today and that she has cooked for them to express her happiness. Swami concurs.

Selvi, Rajesh, Sura, Rani and Thenu chat in the room while Arumugam corners a reluctant Swami and takes him outside for a chat. Rani confides in them that Vani has kept Sara hidden safely until Kathir's brother awakens and then she will sort everything out. Selvi tells them Vani is Rani's strength and Sura praises their relationship. Meanwhile, Arumugam give a big build up to Swami about his capabilities and compares himself to Anil and Mukesh Ambani. Swami escapes and goes inside.

Vani, Bhoomi and Surya arrive and Swami informs Rani. Everyone is happy while Bhoomi is extra excited about being able to taste Rani's cooking again. Rani tells Selvi and Rajesh to get Vani and Bhoomi's blessings before she serves lunch. Vani gifts Selvi a gold chain while Bhoomi gifts Rajesh a gold bracelet. Everyone looks thrilled and Rani is in tears but Swami looks uncomfortable. He takes out Rs. 100 for his pocket and searches for Rs. 1 but Arumugam makes some snides remarks that at the very least Rani should gift Selvi a covering gold chain and Swami should gift Rajesh a ring for his little finger since Vani and Bhoomi have gifted them gold. Sura and Rajesh chase Arumugam off to his room while Selvi tries to stop them from being aggressive with him and everyone else looks upset and uncomfortable. Rani tries to salvage the situation but a devastated Swami leaves although Rajesh tries his best to pacify him. Episode ends on Vani and Rani's expressions. Thodarum.

Monday April 21, 2014 Written Updates

Episode 329

Rajesh and Selvi chase Aru who keeps asking naan enna thappu pannen. Swami walks off. Rajesh runs behind him, apologizes on behalf of Aru and begs Swami to walk in. Rani says he isn't angry but has some urgent work i.e. to meet a financier regarding our hotel re-opening. Swami says yes and walks off dejected. Bhoomi gets emotional. Rani appreciates Vani for buying beautiful chain and invites all for lunch. A wailing Sura polambufies .. that day you bought food my hubby spoiled it and today this nasty fellow made samandhi walk off. Rani says don't feel bad. He does not socialize so easily. It is not anger at all. That thambi spoke very casually and nothing to get offended about it. Sura fakes a smile. Rani invites all for lunch. Selvi stands crying. Bhoomi and Vani stand speechless.

Poo makes juice for thatha and decides to cut his coffee and give buttermilk, juice. Megala says he will not give up his coffee. But Poo is determined. She gives Manikkam the juice and he asks for coffee. She says hot summer and till the time you recover only jucie and no coffee. Manikkam agrees and drinks the juice. Karthik walks in and says give me juice too . I too have decided no more coffee. Poo says no juice, will give you neer agaram. Karthik blinks. Manikkam explains what is neer agaram. Manikkam says that he is happy to see a happy Poo. Poo says your happiness is my happiness. Manikkam says my only wish is to see you lead a happy life with Karthik. Poo silent. Karthik says your wish is Poo's wish so no worries. Poo stares. Manikkam says I have one more important thing to do and that is to find Sara, talk to him and get him married to a suitable girl. He is my grandson too and I will be relieved only if he too is happily settled. Manikkam asks Karthik to search for Sara. Poo asks Manikkam to go for a walk and walks out of the room.

Back at Rani's home, Swami is recollecting Aru's words. Rajesh drops Rani & thenu. Rajesh apologizes yet again to Swami. Rani says Swami can never get angry on anyone. Rajesh drives off and Rani walks in to the kitchen followed by Swami. Rani lists a load of pending activities to be done. Swami questions how can you be so be casual. Rani says are you still thinking about that guy's words. Ignore it and move on. Swami says more than his words your sister's actions of putting jewellery, which led to such talks, is pinching me. Rani says why are you talking like this. From Selvi's birth till date my sister is the one who has been buying jewellery for her on all occasions. How will she not do on this occasion. Who else do you expect will do? Also, no one else can satisfy me except she doing it. Swami says you have smartly shut me off. Rani asks why do you find fault in whatever she does. Swami asks why do you find all of her acts to be right. Looks like you will support her even if she commits a murder. Rani says if she will murder then definitely there must be a strong justifiable reason for it. My sister can never go wrong. If our thoughts are wrong we will see everything wrong. No point in blaming others for it. Please stop blaming my akka and do your job. Swami walks off and Rani heaves a sigh of relief.

Sura thupuffies Aru for insulting Swami. Aru acts cold. Malathy apologizes. Sura yells. Aru justifies his words. Sura picks a slipper to thrash him. Selvi stops her. Sura polambufies this kabodhi spoiled a good moment with his filthy words. Selvi says my mother will manage my father's anger. Sura thuppufies Aru some more. Aru says I am open type and cannot hide my feelings. If not me someone else would have definitely raised that question. Your anger on me shows your concern for me. So I am happy about it. Sura boils. Aru talks some more nonsensically and Selvi screams shut your mouth. Rajesh walks in and says Swami is very upset but Rani seemed to be casual. He too scolds Aru. Selvi says my amma will manage my appa. Aru says next time when guests come home you give 1000 or 2000 rs, arrange a hotel room for me and call taxi to pick and drop me from our home. Rajesh angrily holds Aru's shirt. Selvi drags Rajesh and repeats yet again my amma will manage my appa. She sends Sura and Rajesh in. Selvi warns Aru mind your tongue and walks off. Malathy yells but Aru is shameless as usual.

Poo walks into her room. She is about to hit the bed. Karthik calls her and says Please don't mistake thatha. I too felt very uneasy when he spoke like that.
