Excerpts:

You have been doing different kind of roles in past so how was the experience till now? The experience till now is different because I played different roles. I started my career with a negative role in Anurag Basu's show Love Story. After that I did couple of positive and negative roles. Generally on television we didn't get a chance to do all these kind of roles as a hero. I think I am blessed to play different shades.

You are associated with "Uttaran" from past 2 and half years. How is the feeling when it's getting closed?

It's not a good feeling because I have entered in "Uttaran" to do a cameo for 10 days. Later it became full- fledged and one of the lead role. It's long running show on television and one of the best and hit show. Whenever a show ends, it's not good feeling but as "Uttaran" is very special it's just more than sad .

In 6 years "Uttaran" seen many highs and lows, Can you share some of the experiences with us?

I don't know about TRP's and business of the show but the whole team done great job because it's not easy to run show for 6 years. They have done great job. They work hard to make this story different and interesting. Every one has put in efforts including spot boy, light boy, cameraman, actors, directors, producers. We have also seen ups and downs. "Uttaran" was one of the best show, at some point of time. When I was started everyone in the show were charged up. By that time it was already 3 year old show but it looked like a new show. I have done a lot of television but to work with these people is totally different experience because even after 6 years, they are so enthusiastic to make the show different and good.

What are your plans, post "Uttaran"?

Nothing has planned till now. I am getting offers and considering 1 or 2 but nothing yet confirmed. I hope things will go in the way I wanted.

Last episode of "Uttaran" to be telecasted on the same day of your Marriage day, share with us your mixed emotions and the plans on that particular day?

I am going to U.S.A on 14th night. I planned it before. At that time I didn't know about the show. Coming to emotions this is not the first time a show is ending. We all (actors, directors, producers) discussed and decided to end show. It's not the sad feeling, very proud and content feeling to be part of this show. I also believe if show ends, then we will do new performances in life through new shows.

Fans of "Uttaran" have started demanding season 2, if makers decide would you like to be part of it?

I don't mind in doing. I don't want to lose this good opportunity.

You have done ramp walks as model, theatre, movies, television. What is difference you find between these platforms?

I haven't done modelling much. Just I did in collage functions and won title there but never did professionally. I have done masters in theatre from Mumbai University. I like to do theatre. I didn't do many films but in films we get more time to do research for the character. In television we don't get time but it's another high medium and different experience because we get scripts at the time and we have to prepare in background. Every we have to be prepared, active and spontaneous. I enjoyed every medium and feel that they have their own charm. I don't mind doing work in any medium.

From so many years you have been in this industry and you have done good shows also. What changes you have noticed in television industry and are they beneficial from actors point of view?

Nowadays people are putting lot of efforts to make good show in television also. I don't know what was the scenario, before I entered but I have done show's with one of the finest directors and producers. I feel I am lucky to get all these shows. I started my career with Tigmanshu Dhulia, second show I have done with Anurag Basu, third show was with Ravi Chopra, then I have done show with Saurab Tiwari. All are finest producers and directors. I have always learnt new things from them. In my case luckily I worked with directors who know their work. I never faced any problems. I learnt from all my directors, producers, co-actors and writers. I also worked for show Anhoniyon Ka Andhera with Vikram Bhatt. Initially people were working for 20 hours but for me I always worked 12 hours or little more. I love to be on sets. I love camera and lights and that atmosphere. I can't live without that.

Who is the closest to you on the sets of "Uttaran"?

I am working from past 2 and half years so it was like family to me. I can't say one name but I am close with Ayub Khan because I am working second time with him. Then I am close to Vaishali Thakkar. Mrunal and Tina are also good friends. Mrunal is partner in BCL too. We bought a team. So I got lot of things from Uttaran - friends, partners and part of hit show.
