Will Pratyusha Banerjee replace Tina Dutta in Uttaran?
There seems to be some sort of jinx going on with Colors' Uttaran. Every now and then, the show bags attention from all because of Tina Dutta aka Ichcha getting replaced. This news has been surfacing around since long and till now one hasn't seen any such change taking place.
But what came into notice of late has left everyone shocked. Buzz states that makers of Uttaran are thinking of getting Pratyusha Banerjee step in the show as replacement to Tina. As seen, so far Tina was essaying double roles in the daily, one of Ichcha and other of her daughter, Meethi. With Ichcha's death, it's now the character of Meethi that will carry forward the story.
And the makers, Filmfarm Productions, feel that for playing the younger part, Pratyusha is just perfect. Now interestingly, Pratyusha recently opted out of her hit show Balika Vadhu on the same channel which made them get Toral Rasputra as the replacement.
When Tina was asked to speak on the same, she said," It is entirely hogwash. Is this technically even possible? Why will channel bring in Pratyusha when she just left Balika Vadhu? This is a negative campaign and I am not being replaced." Meanwhile, a source said, "Uttaran is low on numbers. This is nothing but a PR gimmick to gain eyeballs. I think Tina is still there in the show. But there has been a strong buzz in the media of late of her being replaced. Having said that, I have also heard that if at all Pratyusha comes in, the show will be given six months to better its numbers, or else will be pulled off air. All said and done, we can be sure only in the coming days."
