What has been suspected is being spoken about. Tina Dutta may be leaving and replaced by a new face. Read the http://www.bollywoodlife.com/tag/uttaran/

Tina Dutta aka Icchha of Uttaran will soon bid adieu to the show that made her a popular face. And if the growing buzz is to be believed, Pallavi Gupta might be the new face of Icchha.

"Tina's double role track seems to have reached its saturation level. The channel has given a go-ahead to the makers officially to find a suitable replacement for her."

how will the script writers incorporate this change of face in the show? Will it be the cliched twist where Icchha meets with an accident that will demand a plastic surgery? And then what will happen to Icchha's twin? Will she be murdered and chucked from the story?

The article that is mentioned is dated JANUARY 9th 2013.I doubt its relevance now.

I personally do not like tina just due to her acting.. but actually think no one can replace her character in the show.. tina made it as iccha and she is the only iccha forever

I see uttaran ending in near future after this change
and if.not then it.would be stretched further only because only tina fans watch it n once she leaves fans would quit alonf

note: It is true these articles appeared in the fourth week of January and we are at the end of March. But replacements take time, and the decision could have been taken in January. When conflict of interests take place in workplaces, it is not pleasant and we hope Tina will have more openings in future and will have been made ready to face hurdles as they come. Best of luck to he in any case.

True, replacement was never good before. We always missed our favourite actors. We still miss Nandish as Veer so it will be very difficult for the audience to accept anybody else as Ichcha.
