Just because the actor is cute should all the heinous acts performed by his character be condoned? I have read many posts in the past few days saying Yuvi should be saved by Tappu/Mukta/Ichha etc. I have even read that he only attempted Rape and did not actually do it, so he should be let go of with a mild punishment.
I want to know had Ichha not interfered, would his rape attempt have remained an attempt only? He would have done it.
Rape is a serious crime and it is very important to show that there is no forgiveness for this, what ever is shown in the serial impacts the thinking of the society in a big way and they should never show a rapist go Scot free, as it would send a wrong message to the viewers, many of whom are teenagers and impressionable, and many others who already keep a similar belief( that a woman's dignity holds less value than a man's freedom) would find support for their belief.
I liked it that no one supported Yuvi(except Mai, and it has been shown too many times that she has no respect for women and she is hated for it). Please do not accuse Ichha of being a bad mother just because she did not forgive her son for a crime against womanhood.
