Not 'just' friends
"We met on the sets of Uttaran and had been working together for a while then. So the two of us more or less spent every waking moment in each others company," gushes Rashami. Soon they became good friends and then best friends. "We both liked each other a lot, yet neither of us spoke a word. That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I confessed my feelings, but for the sake of professionalism , we needed to keep our distance." Rashami's boldness hit its mark, and the very next day, Nandish showed up at her vanity room. "Imagine my surprise when he walks in and says, do you want to go out for lunch? I said, remember we had agreed on keeping our distance and how this isn't the right time? He took me by surprise when he adamantly retorted, shut your tiffin and come with me, this is the right time!"
Love in friendship
Like most of us who believe that our Prince Charming is waiting for us somewhere, Rashami feels that it was a miracle to meet her soulmate at theright time! "Till date I still respect andthank God for sending me Nandish. Choosing one's life partner, especially for a girl, is such a big decision to make," she admits. "You have to commit to a whole new life, so you have to know for sure that he is the ONE. The best part is that with marriage our friendship has not changed. We fight, but we know bothof us are wrong and we work it out the way friends would do. I love seeing him happy so once in a while I surprise him to keep things romantic.But he is romantic too! I am thankful I got my life partner exactly the way Iwanted."
