Tapasya - absolutely right Maha jealous............
and Chanda's character is just a frustrated and touble making one.

As for punching bag............Ichcha needs to move out of the way when the punches come or my preference would be to punch back.............otherwise nothing will change.

Again they wanted a girl like Kinjal from their own class for Veer, but the fact that he went and married Ichcha could not be digested as they have 3 things against her now:

1) She is Vansh's widow;

2) She thwarted their efforts in getting a girl from their own class for Veer;

3) The original grouse that she is a servant's daughter and does not belong to their class still exists in the back of their minds.

These are all the reasons for her getting blamed for everything... Also the fact that she is a soft spoken timid character who does not speak rudely against elders and her dumbness are the reasons for her doormat, servile status in Bundela house..

Ichcha would have been better off, I mean happy , if she had lived in the slums itself instead of coming to Jogi's house... At least she would have been independent and bold and would have developed a spine instead of being servile.

In an ideal situation what you say is correct..............and all your points are soooo valid. when it comes to Nani and Mai...........but we are not in an ideal situation here and it is becoming more and more unreal as Ichcha gets quieter and quieter and Nani and Mai get louder and louder and we keep discussing and discussing.
