One of the hottest TV couples, Rashmi Desai and Nandish Sandhu from Colors' Uttaran, who have been dating for almost a year with the actor proposing her only sometime back, have tied the knot secretly in Ghaziabad.

Apparently, the two went to Delhi for an award ceremony where Rashmi was to be felicitated and the marriage that followed came as a huge surprise to their near and dear ones. TOI got to know about it and contacted the couple, who sweetly agreed to speak about their marriage

. "I had gone with Rashmi, who was accompanied by her family, to support her. I had called my parents to meet her family. That's when the topic of marriage surfaced as my grandmother who's been unwell for sometime now asked me to get married. Keeping in mind her frail health, we got married on February 9 and returned to Mumbai," says Nandish.

So when can a lavish wedding be expected? "It won't happen before the end of this year or the beginning of next year. A proper wedding involves a lot of preparation so we will take sometime to plan it," said an elated Rashmi.

The actress who was all set toquit the serial has now decided to continue with it. She says, "I had given them
the notice three months ago but things have been sorted out and I am continuing with Uttaran."

Uttran on Screen Couple Rashmi-Nandish Tie Knot off Screen

Uttran stars Rashmi Desai and Nandish Snadhu had secretly got married in Ghaziabad. The couple had gone for some award function but soon the official trip turned out to be their marriage trip. Confirming the reports, the couple said that the news is true and now, they are happily married.

If reports are to be believed, the couple had been dating each other since last one year. Nandish had proposed marriage to Rashmi in the recent past and Rashmi accepted it promptly.

Nandish had gone with Rashmi where she was expected to receive an award. Rashmi's family was also there to support her and Nandish too had his family. Nandish's grandmother had not been keeping well for a long time, and it so turned out that she wanted the love birds to get married as soon as possible. So not wasting a single moment, and keeping the family get together, the couple walked the aisle.

Rashmi Desai has worked in many Bhojpuri movies and got her big break in Colors daily soap Uttran , where she plays the vamp in the serial. Though, she had some problems with the production house of the serial and had even given them a notice three months back as she was about to quit the serial, but things have been sorted out and she does not seem to leave her role in the serial.

She seems even more popular than her co-star, Tina Dutta, who is the current wife of Nandiah Sandhu in the serial.
