If actors are allowed to dictate the story line (for whatever reason relationship, image, more money) and writers are concentrating on fan polls ONLY rather than the integrity of the story line and their characters - and regurgitate ridiculous episodes then NO amount of new characters, retaining the known faces, dabbling with positive-negatives will help.
