Freud said that 'woman look for their Father's in their Husbands.'This is true in a lot of cases
While watching today's episode and seeing the love between Jogi and Iccha a couple thoughts came to mind:
- Jogi has never been that loving/tender with Taps Yes that was never made evident in the serial
- And that Iccha's love for Veer is partly due to the fact he is very much like Jogi Possibly as it is natural and human to compare the 2 most important men in your life
- Taps love for Veer is partly due because he is like her Father and the love she felt she didn't get then she looked for in Veer. I do not actually feel the same way as I feel Tappu was more taken in by Veer's background, his wealth and Nani prodding her about how much she was giving up that made her turn to Veer. Besides she always found Veer boring. That is what did not attract her to Veer in the beginning. I don't think she actually loved him at all when she married him. She just wanted what Ichcha had.
- Jogi is in fact the root cause of the Taps enmity to Iccha. There our story of Uttaran begins.
Jogi has always felt guilty towards Iccha for what he had deprived her off and overcompensated with his love on her, helped that Iccha was a lovely sweet nice natured child.
At the same time I think he side lined Taps not because he didn't love her because he felt that she had everything; Mother, Nani, FATHER, wealth and so would lack for nothing. He just didn't see that Taps IS his daughter and as such needed him to be HER FATHER.
Yes, it is possible that he took things for granted when it came to Tapasya. This is where I feel Jogi may have slipped up a bit because had he realized the others were useless at teaching her values, he might have spent some more time with Tapasya. This began Taps hatred and Iccha could not see this because she got Jogi love as a Father and couldn't see that Jogi wasn't the same with Taps..
Ichcha had the guidance of her mother who taught her to love Tapasya no matter what. Ichcha's character is also to blame as she was blind to Tapasya's misdeeds and she forgave Tapasya every time. I don't think it is because she could not see but because she did not want to see. Tapasya saw her own father drifting away from her, being punished for what she had done to Ichcha(she never saw that Ichcha never broke any rules), her father taking extra care to ensure Ichcha fitted into certain scenarios. (Tapasya never could understand that Ichcha needed help to fit into certain situations which Tapasya was born into) And as for Veer I would say that both Taps and Iccha, whether conscientiously or subconscientiously see Jogi in him and are fighting the same battle as their childhood one.
Whatever they see in Veer, Ichcha loved him from the first whilst Tapasya did not There was no battle till greed for material goods and instigation got the better of Tapasya. This in no way excuses what Taps has done (and I'm a Veercha fan) but I do think it does explain some of Taps emotional hatred of iccha.
I think all these excesses were created for Uttaran to happen.
