Will Tina be out of Uttaran?
No actor is bigger than a show and this has proved time and again when protagonists or key characters were suddenly ousted out of a hit show overnight, leaving the show in a mess. The latest show which is currently making news such news is Uttaran.
If sources are to believed then Tina Dutta who plays Ichcha in the show, has decided to quit the show. "Tina has threatened to leave the show many times before. In fact in the past we always had tough time dealing with her. Many times our creative team as well as other authoritative people from the production had to convince her to stay back, since she is the face of Ichcha. She would often complain about minor things like make- up, not getting a proper wig or a costume and so on. Two months back it is said that she was not happy with the way her track was going and wanted to leave the show.
The latest we hear is that she has put in her papers and is on vacation in USA. But this time the production house may not intervene in the matter and has two options, either they will change the script so that her character can disappear from the show or they will bring in a new face. However it will take a few more days for them to take a final call as per the channel's demand."
On the other hand another source says, "It is true that Tina is not shooting for the show at this moment. But she has just taken a break and we are certainly not thinking of replacing her. She is likely to resume the shoot, as soon as her holidays will be over."
There is a buzz which says that the production house has approached Pallavi Gupta of Bitto fame to essay Ichcha's role. When contacted Gupta refuted this and says, "It is not true at all. I have not got any call from the production house and I am not replacing anyone."
Tina's phone was switched off while producer Pintoo Guha was busy in a meeting.
