Despite all the commercialisation, telly actors still believe love is very much a part of Valentine's Day

This year I haven't planned anything for Valentine's day. During my school days, it was a very special day and it was my dream to have someone to share it with. I still think of the day as one full of romance with lots of gifts and cards. An ideal Valentine's would be spent over a romantic candlelight dinner, with lots of pastries, cards and a long drive. When I was in college, I used to celebrate it with about seven-eight of my girlfriends. We would head to someone's house and order some food, put on some music and dance and have fun. This year the work pressure has increased but maybe I'll give a surprise or even get one!

I am going to be performing in a show in Udaipur this year for Valentine's day and so won't make it back in time. I am not a big believer in Valentine's day as I feel everyday can be made special for your loved one, if you really want to. If I'm with my boyfriend Mazhar, we usually end up going out for dinner or a movie but otherwise we don't plan anything special for this day.

I haven't made any plans as yet. It's definitely a special day for couples, and more so for those who don't get to meet everyday. Aamir and I get to travel a lot together so we get to spend lots of time with each other. I think Valentine's is a very sweet concept and should be celebrated to reflect on all the good moments you've shared with your loved one.

Valentine's is another excuse to express more love towards someone. I feel everyday is Valentine's as I believe in love very strongly and I think it's what makes the world go round. On this day, everyone is in a mushy mood but we tend to forget to love ourselves. So this Valentine's is going to be only about me, (besides potential boyfriends). I want to spend time with myself and reflect on the past one year.

Valentine's day is a beautiful concept. It's a day to celebrate love and frankly shouldn't be subjected to just one day of the year, but we should show our love all the time. However, I feel we need this one day as people require a reminder to make time in their busy schedules for those they love. It's also an excuse to celebrate and party. I will be working through the day, as I'm really passionate about my work ' it's my first love.

I don't have any specific plans for the day and will probably just catch up with some friends. For me personally, Valentine's day means gifting close ones something they like. I usually give my friends chocolates on this day. Of course, for those in love it's a day they really wait for. Especially youngsters who have their eye on someone and want to confess their feelings to that person. It's basically a perfect day to show love.

I don't believe in Valentine's day at all. In fact, I think it's all just bullshit!

Karan Mehra
This Valentine's is going to be extra special as it's my first official one with my fiance Nisha. The day means a lot to me as it is about celebration ' a day when people of all ages can express their love and spread happiness and peace. I haven't yet decided what I'll be doing but will definitely gift my love something.
